RE: !! IMPORTIANT MAMBA OWNERS!! !!
12 NiMH cells is covered under warranty, 4s lipo is not (only 2s/3s are covered). 12 NiMH cells drop voltage much more than lipos under load. Hence the reason 4s lipo is not covered under warranty.

Joe Ford,
I have no clue what is up with my mamba. I am running a 3cell lipo and a hype 6k. When i turn it on i have steering and it goes about 5 miles an hour, my setings are all defallt with the 9v cut off. I can program it to anything cause i have the usb. Also my batt is charged cause i also tryed a 5 cell! Is there some sort of warenty that i dont have to pay for?
Thanks,
Andrew

now that you have done 5 cells , chances are that you will have to pay for warrenty , cuz it voids the warrenty on 4 cells

pro...you should have received an auto-reply that we are short staffed right now due to the show in Chicago (where I am right now )...check junk email folder please to make sure it was sent out...if it was not that is a problem as I will be out of town until Thursday and several people may be thinking the same thing you are. Bernie is the only one in tech support right now and I am sure he is "a little" busy right now. What is the problem you are having exactly? Let me know.
EDIT:
ANDREW...what lipo pack are you using specificially? Where is your receiver in relation to the ESC and motor? Any idea which version of software you are using? Have you calibrated the ESC to your transmitter? When you pull the throttle do you get a green LED or red LED? Let me know.

RE: !! IMPORTIANT MAMBA OWNERS!! !!
boom...it'd be my pleasure to give you the 25 cent tour!!! I'll be back in KS on Thursday...anytime after that is fine with me. Just let me know ahead of time so I can schedule some time. 913-390-6939 ext. 119 To answer your ?'s...no, we will not be coming out w/a higher kv 20mm motor (in fact, be careful w/your gearing on that 9200...we will not warranty the ESC if it fries using that motor). NO IDEA why HobbyTown doesn't know the Max was released...we let them drive the proto Max WAY before release!!! Possibly the change in staff has something to do with it?

No idea...and I'm in Chicago right now so I can't check on it for you either buddy. [] Give Misty a call at extension 113...she'll be more than happy to let you know the status. It all depends on how long it took to get there, if it can be repaired, and if it can't, if we have them in stock at the moment. Wish I could be of more assistance, but I won't be back in the office until Thursday.

RE: !! IMPORTIANT MAMBA OWNERS!! !!
NO WAY!!! I lived in Schaumburg my whole life before taking the job @ CC!!! I know EXACTLY where Glendale Heights is. Staying @ my mom's house in Schaumburg right now...near Roselle and Algonquin roads. I think the people at the town may have been talking about the Monster Max...it's still in the R&D phase right now.

Guys, im planning on dropping in a brushless mtor into my RC10 champ. edition. Im wondering what makes the Mamba MAx different from the others. I know the others are sensored and the Mamaba max is sensorless, but what exaclty does that mean, and how does it affect the motor. Im trying to decide between the Mamba MAx 7700kV combo or the LRP Neo 4 star combo.
Also if i upgrade the transmission with bearings will it be able to handle the power of the brushless motor?

RE: !! IMPORTIANT MAMBA OWNERS!! !!
If your controller has the part that the controller on the right hand side in post #20 has, let me know and I'll get a new one out to you w/a pre-paid envelope to send that one back to us. If yours looks like the one on the left hand side you're good to go. I won't be back in the office until Thursday (I Hobby and visiting my family here in IL), but I'll get right on it when I get in the office.
