Everyone,
I just installed the Trinity .095 Drake Motor...fits like a glove! Waiting on some fuel tubing so I can break it in.
I will let you know how it goes and the increase in performance.

Had the same problem with mine. I made the mistake of turning the adjustment screw all the way in and that pushed the check ball into the spring. So I had to take the whole 2spd apart to fix it. So what you want to do is turn the set screw out till it stops then turn it in a 1/2 turn at a time (this worked for me) till the shift point is were you like it. More info can be found at www.teamvtx.com forum in the FQA. hope this helps.

Yep.
Yep.
Hey, about Krystal motor.....even if I send you one.....we are most likely not going to reproduce them. Are you still interested?
Regarding the servo, is your YEP referring to the 100% certainty that it will fit in the truggy steering and throttle servo location?

As far as the servo, I have no idea if it will direct drop-in. Dokioto asked what servos people use in the 18t, I said the HS65, he linked, and I said "yep" confirming the linked the mentioned servo. I think the JR 241 servos might fit, I think he will try those and report back.

I think the truggy is a bit wider, and of course, a different body. Other than that...i think that is the only difference.

RE: OFFICIAL TeamVTX Truggy/Buggy Thread
Frank I like the truggy alot . I had a few small issues with it but nothing major. A few screws fell out (prob my fault lol) never checked them when it was new. However i contacted Greg from VTX and he took care of me right away, they have great customer service. I must say i was suprised... this little thing rips. Me and my son had it and my HPI rs4 evo out sunday, and from a stop the evo would kill it but from a roll it was close. The HPI hit 44mph on the venom speed meter and that little truck wasnt far behind!!! Have not had it off road much been to cold.

Break in wasn't to bad it just takes time. I got both the truggy and the buggy at hobby town in Springfield PA on Baltimore pike. If you get one let me know I would be more than happy to help you out. I have been doing nitro's since the mid 80's. I still have my first 2 nitro cars an old kyosho assault and a 1/8 burns both still run and are in great shape. You still live in philly?

RE: OFFICIAL TeamVTX Truggy/Buggy Thread
Well my Dad just ordered one of these VTX Truggys from rc-nation. Once it gets here and the weather warms up we will do a little performance testing between it and my Trinity Next. I think I will like running with him better once he has this 1/16 scale truck, he always seems to run-over my 1/16 scale with his 1/8 scale trucks

These servo don't fit the servo horns (if that is what it is called). The gear in the servo is to big.

(1) Engine, not the draked version
(1) .095 engine mount (alum) - this is NECESSARY. By default, the trinty engine mounts with 3 bolts, and the VTX uses a 4 bolt pattern. The engine mount allows you to mount the engine using the stock 4 bolt pattern on the chassis
(1) Manifold and pipe for the engine - BUT, I will say that this is a POS item. I have TONS of leakage coming out of the rubber coupler where the pipe meets the manifold. The header/manifold does not seem to be secured as I would like it to be either.
The one thing that I might see as a slight mod is extending the wire that secures the pipe to the chassis. I cant comment on this yet, as I have not settled on the pipe issue. I will let you know. As far as the engine...it is a direct fit...I even had to use the same brass collar off the stock engine and same flywheel.
