You should put on mini deans, it would look cooler.

They don't heat up, and transfer the current better. They still don't transfer all of it, but it's the best you can get while still using a plug. If you use the stock plug, it doesn't transfer as much power and blocks some, with a dean it transfers more but still blocks a little. The best way for the most power is to do a direct solder. But then the only way to unplug it is to unsolder the wires.

Yes you can if you have a digital charger. You have to be able to adjust your amps down to .15-.20 amps. I've done it using a Dynamite Vision Peak Ultra.

but isnt the stock battery like 600mah?

with 160mah, your losing heaps of runtime.

I can already tell the stock connectors are crap. When I took the body off I saw how the stock connectors melted an imprint into the inside of the body.

With a 160mah battery, you COULD use the stock charger just fine. 10mah isn't going to make any discernible difference in runtime or charging time.

The quality of the cells might allow for higher current draw (never heard of kan) but the stock battery connector isn't suitable for pulling ridiculous amounts of amperage.

I'm waiting for someone to shove a single cell lipo pack in this thing... Runtimes would probably be extended at the slight cost of some speed. Still, the battery area is just REAL small.

You'll see better performance and a little more runtime with the KAN's, they're good cells. Switch to the Deans micro connectors or risk a fire hazzard.
A single lipo cell is only 3.7volts nominal, 4.2volts fully charged. You'll get the most runtime but not enough voltage for any kind of performance.

How much difference do you notice from using the different battery and different connectors?

ok just playing with both packs,, this is what i have found out,,, the stock pack runs down quickly, well the way i play it does.. i have the largest pinion in place aswell.. .. the stock pack did make the micro-t do a wheelie on my hardwood floor.. but i set a mat in the middle of the floor and made sort of a table top with it,, by sticking the box it came in underneath the rug creating the jump.. and the stock pack i would have to say lasted maybe 5 minutes.. while the kans lasted a lot longer.. maybe 7-8 minutes.. the power with the kans was a lot better in terms of lasting longer.. the stock pack just dumped quickly.

So the Kan pack lasted longer with the same performance? or did it have more punch as well?

i still like to find out if the esc and motor can handle one more cell. that would be wicked :P

yeah they are a pain to get in,, but if you somehow request to have the wires come out of the top middle,, and not the top corner,, you will have an easier time putting in..
