I have a Mini-T, an RC18B, an Itsy Bitsy Spyder, Mini LST, and the Tamtech Fox, and in my opinion, with the right setup, the Tamiya is the most raceable. It's actually considered 1/16 scale so it is a little bigger, and more stable than the others. Out of the box it needs oil shocks, and benefits from a hotter motor, but the electronics are very nice, reliable components. I dont want to start any wars here, but I feel it is one of the best minis available.

We have just a few Micro T's running right now. It's been tough to get them. We got some before Christmas, but then they went on back order until now. We had 5 of them running last night.

That would be a fun class I bet. I still haven't gotten my hands on one either. I should be picking one up soon though.

Video is not dial-up friendly. It is 75MB. It was 220MB before I compressed it, so the quality is not the greatest.

We're here (Toledo). You coming up to the races? This week I believe is "oval". Unfortunetely I'll miss it. I'm coming down your way to race nitro at CRCRC.

That's a great video Stew. Nice job.

I wonder how big this racing is going to get? If we have 51 cars with 32 drivers after only 4 weeks, what's it going to be like by spring?

Well, hopefully for the sake of the store and track it continues to grow, or maintains it's size. History has shown though that as it starts to get nice outside it will taper off.

What is going to be the story for off-road in the spring? Is Hobby Stop looking to sponsor one of the local tracks? A decision about this should be made early, so all the people that have just started because of this track can get into outdoor off road. i think there are alot of new people at the indoor track that would race outside too. It would be good for your business as well as the local RC racing scene. We have not had a successful local outdoor track for lots of years.

cool video.
I love the quick move of the guy during the buggy qualifying (saw mt's in there too) were he's coming around fast and the marshal is in the way on the track... drove right through his legs like he wasn't there... nice driving.

I have to say, its so much harder to drive on a track then it looks. Going from street/lot bashing to organized runs is like night and day. wish we had something like this here. I have to wait til summer for outdoor events. enjoy guys, looks like fun.

If racers would show every week, instead of going to COLUMBUS turnout will remain good!!

OUCH!!! That's not nice, but with a screen name like 8ight, you'd rather go to Columbus as well. Sounds like you're jealous. Have fun with that oval friday night!

hey thats a pretty cool semi at the beginning...

are all mini races like that? i mean, 3-2-1 , the top 2 qualifiers speed away and the rest end up in a big pile...

The heat races are a stagger start so everyone is on their own clock. The mains are a mass start. Every person for themselves.

We're still trying to get hold of Nick from Monroe to see what's going on. IF we do anything I think it will be there, because the track I think has more potential. Plus the Douglas track has the reputation of being affiliated with H.T. USA and it would probably confuse people about who's sponsoring it. HT or HSW. We'll keep you informed.

Plus keep in mind for you On Road guys, we have a couple of members of the One Eighth Racers of Toledo at our events all the time. Don't be surprised to see racing flyers soon for all the local action. I've also got word of possibly another off-road track coming soooon to our area. It's a friend of mine I used to race with years ago.

The mini racing is suprisingly fun! Thanks to Pat and the rest of the HSW crew and everyone else helping with track transport and setup. But still my favorite is warm weather and some dirt action.

If you think that track has potential, you obviously don't know the politics, BS, and procrastination that go along with it. I will be surprised if that track is ever anything more than it is right now. And what it is right now is 90% the result of a few people that put in alot of hard work all last summer, only to be disappointed by Nick's lack of motivation and inability to get a race off.

Sorry, just venting.

I am not too sure what is going to happen at the Monroe track. It is going to take a few people with some serious motivation to get that place rolling. I don't think you could race anything there but nitro. The jumps are large enough to give serious mod electrics a hard time. Stock stuff can forget about it. The lanes don't need to be 15' wide. With some layout, shrinking and thought it could be a nice place. It still needs a lot of work to get it where it needs to be, and I don't think that is going to happen.
