RE: OFFICIAL Team Losi Micro-T thread !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello I just got my micro t a coupe days ago, and i broke the stock linkages on the first run. So i made new ones out of green zip ties. Long story short, the second run out i noticed my slipper getting REALLY loose because the truck wouldnt even budge a full throttle. I though my battery pack was dead but at a closer look i notice the spur just spinning WOT and the slipper not working. I took my whole trans and diff apart to see if i broke one of the internal gears but nothing. All the gears have all their teeth. I have been running rc's for 6 years but i have never had this happen to me. BTW i tightened up the slipper and the car wouldnt move then either. When it was as tight as i could make it the poor little motor wouldnt even spin the spur now. I think something is binding but i cant find anything. Do you guys have any clues or have you ever gone through this?

hmmm. you should make sure all the parts are on the slipper. there should be two of those little blue grommets.
thats wierd though???
ya frozen. you should loosen up your diff a little, otherwise your gunna be taken apart your tranny in a while!
if you got a newer micro-t. there should be a little tiny bag with blueish arms, those are the ones you hould put on it.
also...i HIGHLY reccomend the lipo!!!!
its only like 20 bux!!!!

yea i already check my gear meshing, its fine. I guess am gonna need to get a new slipper, that seems to be the only thing that it can be. Are the threaded axles worth the money? I am going to hobbytown this weekend to get some parts for my emaxx so i will see if they have any micro t parts in stock.

Hmmm....compared to $5 bucks to ship it back...

For what it is going to cost you to send it back and possibly have to pay them to fix it, you could go and buy the diff.
LOSB1514 Diff Gear Set $4.99
LOSB1515 Complete Diff Assembled $9.99
LOSB1511 Complete Tranny Assembled $14.99
What exactly did you do to the tranny?

There are no details on Atomic Mods on why that motor might improve on the stock one. Is it a higher turn motor? Can it draw more current? Can the stock ESC handle it? How much faster is it?...how much more torque?

o yes that flower is the macro setting. just get real close. hold doown the button half way and it should auto focus then just snap it. also, im using a natural light setting, so my flash doesnt drown out the whole car.
lol i knew you might have lost one of those blue guys.
i just ordered that motor last night. i also have a battery coming in. if i get mine in and installed before anyone. ill let you know how it goes and ill take some pics. i know that it does have ball bearings in it. but it better be quicker for 20 bux! (they charged 7.00 for shipping!!!!)
and on the lipo packs.
who cant afford 20 bucks as a major hop up to get there car running faster and longer?
sure you could build one for about 12 dollars. and you have to know everything about them, how to solder, and all that. or you could have it all done for you for like 8 dollars more??

beacause alot of there cars have beeen having problems.
i would try to talk to them again and see what they say.

Also, I think soldering is part of the fun of RC...like assembling models. It isn't any more difficult to make a Lipo pack than a conventional one. You only have to decide if you want to add a balance lead. Actually, with as low power as this car is, you could probably use the balance lead as the power lead. That will save you some wiring and some weight.
I agree that if you find it tiresome, you should just buy the $20 pack. But, of course you will still need to solder on connectors.
