mini lst run time help
My mini lst's little run time run time (7-8min) is finally getting to me. I just rebuilt and lubricated the F/R and center diffs and checked for grinding and the run time didn't have any noticable increase. Does anyone have a clue what the problem is, or any suggestions? Thanks.

RE: mini lst run time help
what charge rate do you charge at? if it is to high(over 1.5) you might have ruined the pack and thats why.
a good alternative to a lipo is a team orion 1600

I have one and it gets about 15 min.
this is again probably out of your buget but save for a low kv brushless motor, that will bring your run time up.
a mamba 4200kv and that 1600 will get 20min

Something is wrong. My Mini LST is mostly stock and I get 15 to 20 minuets of run time. What charger are you using? I would suggest that you get a nice peak charger.

RE: mini lst run time help
Inverted and Dokioto, i use a Duratrax IntelliPeak pulse charger.
Zack, i've already started saving for one
and Racing T i checked and theres no binding
Oh and also, will the bl motor runtime shorten if i add more cells for more voltage (7-8 cell pack)?

but if your going to add up to 8 cells it will weigh it down and be a pain.
my setup is a mamba 25 w/ a 9200 kv c4 motor geared way down on a 6 cell 1600 mah battery. it goes about 35-40 mph
if you want even more power get a 3 cell lipo along with the bl system it would go 73mph.(then get air born)

RE: mini lst run time help
What battery are you using, stock? I don't know why you are getting 8 minuets of run time.... I use a Duratrax IntelliPeak pulse charger and charge at 1 amp and I get around 15 minuets. Are you using full throttle all the time? I don't use full throttle a lot so that could be why I get more run time.

Then thats probably why you only have 8 minuets of run time. I don't have much room to drive the truck in the winter, so I can't go full throttle ,most of the time....
