RE: Mini Baja
My neighbor got one from his kids for X-mas.
Can't wait for him to bring it over and race me and my Vendetta and/or MiniQuake in the basement track.
It's my track and I'm unbeatable on it. But want to see how that 2WD bug goes.
Looks cool enough.

RE: Mini Baja
I just got the baja and i love it. its almost as fast as the 18t and it has much better suspention and ground clearance and its easier to turn at low speeds. the 18t wamps it off the line thou.

My girlfriends little brother just bought one. i think they are awesome. It's definitely quick. I've never seen a stock RC18 so I can't compare. He did manage to shread the diff gears while running it on carpet.
Here are a few pics of his.

yeh he was looking at a stock mini t but I talked him into the mini baka. It has WAY better electronics and motor and it also comes with a battery pack and charger while the original mini t does not. It was a great deal and he loves it. It has a little to much power for the stock plastic diff if you ask me though.

And a lil bigger motor than the stock mini-t . My mini-t cant pull wheelies But my Baja pulls awsome wheelies !And thats not even rocking it that is from a dead stop start.

RE: Mini Baja
Yepper I got the Black and gold one tonight for $125. I thought that was a heck of a deal! I got it off ebay and the truck is brand new in the box . paid for it on sunday and recived it today. Got home and I tore into it and my son and I and the wife all fighting to play with it. the wife even likes it said its her truck "wow" I have won the wife approvial! But can say just from what I saw from playing with it for 20-30 mins on the living room floor it screams. I think it might just be a tad bit faster than my mini quake. going to be making a DVD with the owner of the LHS that we are going to be racing for this spring thru fall so my son and my wife and myself and the rest of the team are going to be out making a DVD with just bashing so we might just see how this truck holds out to a 6yr olds bashing .lol .
Take care all

The biggest upgrade to this one (to stay w/ the stock motor) is the lipo battery. Holy smokes, talk about riding a wheelie. It lifts up even after moving forward and then nailing the power. This is fun!

RE: Mini Baja
I'll shoot some pics of the basement track.
The neighbor brought his over.
Pretty dissapointing that we couldn't even race.
Glitches like crazy (like the crystal isn't seated properly...but there is no crystal). Doesn't roll freely. Broke the diff gears.
My two Duratrax cars run great in the basement. I keep replaceing a-arms and drive shafts and steering knuckles and shock mounts (that hi speed turn around the furnace is killer if you get to inside ). But, all these parts are Stress Tech Guranteed from Duratrax. Thye keep sending me replacements and extras. Would have been at least $40 worth of parts they have replaced for free by now. Have a nice stock pile of them for when the one year warranty runs out. Heck man, six months to go on the warranty and I'll have plenty of parts for the life of the car(s).
My cars are 2S2000 LiPo.

RE: Mini Baja
I bought a mini Baja as well- it works very well, and is alot of fun to ride. My GF has one also, and both seem the same speed, but mine is able to pop wheelies when moving fast, where hers can't.
But what is a good way to upgrade it from stock? I want to get an extra battery for each, or a better battery, but have no idea what will work best, or what might last longer?
