Default Mamba Pinion Problem

I'm having a problem with my Mini T. The Mamba motor I have in it burns through plastic pinions like it's nothing. The shaft on the motor is not splined, so it reams out the hole in the pinion when I gun the throttle. I have a couple of metal pinions with set screws, but the are too small to fit over the shaft. Can anybody recommend a set of metal pinions that will fit?

Thanks

Do you happen to know the shaft diameter of a mamba motor?
Also, if you mean this set, then they don't fit.

Mamba is 2.0 mm, and yes, the Trinity pinions fit. You may have to tap them a little with a rubber mallet, but they fit. Make sure to Dremel a flat spot on the motor shaft for the pinion grub screw to seat on.

robinson makes pinions for the 2.0mm shaft. If you try to drill it out, there is a good chance it will not be centered. I have done this and messed up several pinions. Just get the pinions that were made to fit it.

Robinson Racing makes great pinions. I have them for my mini-t and all my 1/10 cars.
lol, pretty much all the cars I have.

I havn't needed to make a flat spot for the grub screw. I have a 13, 14, and 16 tooth for the mini-t and they all work great. No locktite or anything, put them straight on as they come.

I don't have a MLST. My mini-t had a 12 tooth on it with my brushed baja motor, but now that I have a mamba I run it with a 16 tooth all the time. So expect to gear it up a little.

I would start with a 13 or 14 first. Which mamba are you getting? Oh yeah and start with the 54 spur. You are going to want to gear it down a lil first. Overgearing will kill your motor and esc.
