RE: Battery help..
Well if it takes 2 hours for that charger to charge a 1100mAh battery ..... thats about 1 hour per 550mAh .... My guess is close to 3 hours ... figure 550mAh x 3hrs = 1650mAh

RE: Battery help..
I would just let it go the 3 hours. if you take it off before then you wont get a full charge. the charger should say the mah charging current rating. These guys got the equation right above. just divide the total capicity by the charging current and it will give you hours. You shouldnt charge much over 1600 but up to 1700 might be ok. MOst packs have higher capacity than their rating says. 1650 is good but you should really just check the charging current. if you are not sure post it and I can run the math for you.

ORIGINAL: HangGlide
Mine is on the desk next to me. For model# U090020D12, Output: 9V DC @ 200mH.

So take the capacity or your battery and divide it by the charger's charging rate.
1600 / 200 = 8
So around 8 hours that charger will charge a 1600mAh battery (of course it may be shorter if the pack has any charge)
I take it that is a NiMH battery, if it is a NiCD be sure to discharge it properly or you'll start screwing up the cells. Trust me I killed a lot of NiCDs in the 80's when I started this hobby. I doubt I'll ever use a NiCD again unless I have too !!! NiMH is good for me untill lithium based batts get cheaper.
