Default which Tekin vs Mamba motor and esc? Will it go slowly?

I was thinking of putting a tekin setup in my rc18t, which motor should I use for bashing on gravel dirt, and asphalt. I want a bit of torque and high speed, which kv will be the best- 8.0, 6.8, or 5.4. If i install it what upgrades should go with it? My truck is all stock exept for a duratrax 1400mah battery.

WILL IT BE ABLE TO TRAVEL AT SLOW SPEEDS WHEN I WANT IT TO? I NEED IT TO BE ABLE TO ALSO GO SLOWW NOT !%MPH AND OVER!!!

What do you guys think about the tekin products?

the 6.8 is a good combination of torque and speed, but if you dont want INSANE speed go for the 5.4.

what is the approximate runtime for the 5.4 and the 6.8? What upgrades do tou reccomend? I was thinking of associated dogbones, mip diff kit times 2, carbide balls, and associated aluminum motor mount. What do you think, which will help? which wont?, which should I get? and what else!

my rc18t has a mamba 6800 and I run 7 cell ib1400 pack and my run time is between 25-30mins, you must get the associated dogbones or even better the mip cvd to help handle the power, the mip super diffs are a good idea but not mandatory, I run stock diff with carbide balls in mine.

Why are the mip dogbones(cvd) better, the cups are metal stock so whats the difference? What preformance increase or reliabilty will I gain with the mip diff kit? Will I need 2 sets? Do you reccomend any other odds and ends to make my truck better?

Will a mamba setup be able to travel at slow speeds, I hate when the motors engage at 10 mph, are there any good steups other that tekin that will be able to travel slowly, be reliable and at a good price?

AT WHAT SPEED DOES THE MAMBA engage?

The Mamba and Tekin use the same motors.

the mamba ESC is programable if you get the USB link... you can setup your car as you wish... i would suggest changing your pinion also... you dont want to burn up your motor without gearing

yea I have the tekin 6.8 and 7cell ib1400 in my rc18t. I love it! umm you can definitely go slow too if you need to. If you wanted to slow the motor down all around (not just low speed traveling) you could pop in the stock battery pack.

As far as upgrades/hop-ups... I changed the shock fluid to 40 wt instead of the stock 30wt and I'm about to get some gold springs. Gearing 60/12, motor doesn't get too hot, all depends on how you drive. I'll change to 60/10 when I get the MT tires . For me the cvds are an pricey upgrade seeing I could just get titanium dogbones. Upgrading the plastic parts might be good since they have a lot of flex.

when you just touch the throttle a tiny bit the car jumps to 10mph, as if the slowest speed was 10 mph, get it Will the mamba motor and esc travel walking speed? I was also thinking of a quark 22 and a trinity "b" brushless, but will I need a quark 33 if the trinity need a esc with 25 amps or higher? Another option is a quark 22 and a mamba motor, may kust do that[8D]

Do you reccomend the mamba 5400 or the 6800?

that's what happens with sensorless brushless systems, there is less precise control over low throttle speeds. Since there are no sensored b/l's out there for mini's, you're pretty much SOL on that. I would, however, suggest the Wraith/Quark 33a combo as this will get you insane torque and speed.
