in my opinion, the car gets hot pretty fast.... especially when you have a better battery and deans connectors

Thanx for the info I was already planning on the CVD's. Does the ESC and motor overheat easily? As far as the ESC goes I probably would upgrade to the Spy Micro eventually.
the stock motor, the vr3 and the stock esc all the hot when you have a 1200 mah pack or more.. this can be fixed by lowering the gearing... but i assumed you only have the stock pinion and spur.

jaejw1 , do you know any info about the vr3 motor? like is it the same turn as the rtr motor... or what makes it faster than the stock motor. is the can a 380 size or 400 size? can i call the vr3 a stock motor cause duratrax makes it? would the vr3 be allowed in stock 1/18 classes? anyones comments about this are welcome

dont know if it is allowed.. but if not.. then use the stock motor,, and advance the timing on it... that is if they allow you to do that

btw a 380 and 400 are the same

i have a question: can the stock dogbones and cv shafts take the abuse of a brushless motor. and if not what should i upgrade first the front or back. Or should I just upgrade all the cv shafts and dogbones to aluminum then buy the motor then i could buy an aluminum spur gear too (oh and the motor is a mamba)
i will have 330$ so will i have enough for the vendetta -160$ the better battery 40$ that leaves 130$ for the motor and the aluminum upgrades .
Also do i have to buy a different speed control for the mamba or will the stock one work with the brushless motor
thanks

get all steel cvd's.. and alloy outdrives.. but you will need to upgrade to ball diffs in the future... and whih mamba motor you plan on using.. cause the lil tiny motor will have a hard time trying to push the heavy vendetta..

get the esc,, and buy a golden horizon gh4700 motor and gear it 19t pinion and 45t spur... and dont worry about an alloy spur.. just stick with the plastics..

I agree with you, but the aluminum knuckles are spendy considering that I can get them for my Mini Inferno for only $13 instead of $35 for the Detta.

Thanx for the info. I am pretty new to the electric vehicles. I have been learning with my rustler xl5. This ESC would work right.[link]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJUF8&P=7[/link]

Also I saw a brushless cobalt motor at tower and it said only requirement was a 25+amp ESC. Can you use the molded ESC that are used in planes like this one? [link]http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGTZ2&P=7[/link]

If so what else needs to be changed? Thanx for the info.

all because no one listens to me,,,,,,,,, if you dont like the price then send mass emails to other companies asking,, beging,,pleading with,,demanding that they make hop ups,,,, yeah and atomics arethe only 2 besides duratrax or anderson that makes hop ups,,,, supply and demand ,,, there are no competitors for duratrax,,,,,,

also I dont care too much on how they do things.... why would I buy steel cvd's if part of the price is for the steel outdrives I will never use,,,,,,

guys stop complaining and start typing,,,,,, I personally have sent about 20 emails ,,,, it is now time for you guys to do the same

Hey jaejw1,

I wasn't complaining. I was just wanting to know what you thought about the mod that someone did to the stock knuckles.

the only other company id buy would be MIP.. and they are quite expensive as well.... basically if you want a bulletproof vendetta, you have to pay top $$$ if you want to replace broken parts get the plastic knuckles for $4

to make any car a reliable racer or basher you gotta pour the $$ into it

no I wasnt complning at any one person,,,,, im conplaining about duratrax..... I really would like to support them ,,, I even sent them an email about sellong the steel outdrives seperate from the cvd's,,,,, this makes too much sense
no I havent done that mod but im sure it holds,,,, I have alloy knuckles,,,, I bought all my hop ups before I bought the car

I would love for MIP to make cvd's

I think duratrax needs an R&D team or a race team
someone that could give them advice and they listen

also I switched to 19/41 with the permax motor...... I couldn't drive it..... now the motor gets warm,,,, hot to touch after 5 seconds just too fast
