my VENDETTA race friday night.. VS. 10th scale TRUCKS
VENDETTA ST WITH HALF8TH 3RACING WHEELS MAMBA ESC AMMO 3900KV MOTOR 3-DEGREES REAR HINGE PLATE, 2S LIPO..
i get to the track ,, havent been for a few days and the track is dry,, hard,, and dusty..
racing tonight with the ST,, using the 3racing half8th ST wheels.. 2s lipo 1700mah ,, ammo motor /mamba esc
qual 1
the tracks surface was hard to find traction.. almost every turn i was spinnning out.. after one jump the steering linkage popped off and i lost a lap from that.. i completed 9 laps in 5 minutes while others had done 11 and 12 laps..
qual 2
after spraying the wheels with wd40 and then washing them again and letting them dry.. and also switching the rear tires to the stock kyosho half8th ST wheels.. i thought i would have a better chance since the wheels were a lil stickier.
i did a small test run and i liked it...
in reverse order with me being #10 i go first.. hit the first doble and crack... i landed wrong by smacking the edge of the landing jump, breaking my front arm.. 3 seconds into the qual and im done..
race..
before the races started they opened the track for practice,, for any last minute set up changes.. well i found my stock hexes and i decided to use the stock wheels.. i never used them before so i wasnt sure how they would work.. my short practice.. i fell inlove with them.. i was able to get some decent traction.. yes..
i start last on the starting grid.. 10 guys ... the buzzer sounds and we all hit the first double. chaos !!! i work my way through the mess.. and throughout the race im trying to catch up to number 1... well the best i could do was play tradng places with the 4th place person. i finished the race in 5th place completing 11 laps.. im completely happy with that.... ,, i wish i had been practicing with these tires before.. and too bad they dont make them softer.. these tires allowed for faster corner speed without it spinning out.. the tires were able to dig in the surface,, unlike the 3racing tires..
today was a good day.. 5th place is great..

2wd trucks.. can handle way better than the mini.. the track isnt smooth.. if it were.. then i could have probably finished a lil higher..
i used to race 2wd 10th scale stadium trucks.. both stock and mod

wow that was a very cool all minis race, you were the one in first place with the vendetta I suppuse? I would love to race there, I can only race in a out-door off-road track, and I have to watch for the nitros that would love to smash my minis.. that is a very cool track you have there, you should like gather people here that live in your area to make a mini class there.

that will never happen.. not enough interest.. everyone is all about the 10th scale... but as long as i keep miy mini racing then maybe there might be enough interest...

yeah I would love to have the number of tracks that california have.. but I always wonder why everything is in california, I mean most of the pro-drivers race there, a lot of international level tracks, all the rc manufacture companies, the rc magazines, RCX..etc etc
