Default Converting Vendetta to Vendetta ST

Hi everyone. I have a vendetta and was wondering if it is possible, or if anyone has, converted their buggy to the truggy version. I think it would be cool to be able to switch it up once in a while. What would I need? Like do the st arms connect to the buggy? and then all I will need are longer shocks for the front along with everything else? Just curious.

Front suspension is totally different. The shocks are larger bore on the ST. ST front end uses a pivot ball set-up. Hope this helps. I do not know if you could swap out the entire front clip or not.

Here's what you need to convert the Vendetta buggy to the Vendetta ST. The only other thing you may need is a new pinion. The ST has a 13 tooth vs. the 16 tooth in the buggy.

Qty Stock # Description
1 DTXC7461 DRIVE SHAFT VENDETTA ST (4)
1 DTXC8210 KNUCKLE ARM FR VENDETTA ST (2)
1 DTXC6264 PIVOT BALL STUD VEND ST (6)
1 DTXC9247 SHOCK TOWER FR AL VENDETTA ST
1 DTXC9248 SHOCK TOWER RE AL VENDETTA ST
2 DTXC9012 SHOCK SET COMPLETE VEND ST (2)
1 DTXC9344 UPPER ARM RE VENDETTA ST (2)
1 DTXC9543 UPPER ARM FR VENDETTA ST (2)
1 DTXC6432 BODY MOUNT SET VENDETTA ST
1 DTXC9585 SUSP ARM FRONT VENDETTA ST (2)
1 DTXC9586 SUSP ARM REAR VENDETTA ST (2)
1 DTXC9652 TIE ROD SET VENDETTA ST
2 DTXC9688 SQ BLOCK TIRE VENDETTA ST (2)
2 DTXC9849 DISH WHEEL WHT VENDETTA ST (2)
1 DTXC6576 BODY UNPAINTED & DECAL VEND ST

It's going to be a little on the expensive side to get everything. It may be a better plan to just buy an ST kit.

Wow i didn't realize that. I just thought I would need some arms, shocks, hubs, and drive shat. That is a lot too, but not THAT much. Then probably some st wheels. Thanks for the help.

The only thing I really like a lot more about the st over the buggy is the esc with brakes. Otherwise I like my buggy. Just thought it would be cool to convert it and have both.

the elite1500 are pretty good..... the ib1400 are ok,, I personally dont like them,,, the gp1300 are good and can take some real abuse,,, and then you have lipos or li-mn apogee has a 20c 2s li-mn pack 1500mah best dang pack I ever ran..... that pack alone with your stock ST with the motor advanced will be more than enough until you are ready to go brushless...

in order to run a li-mn you must have a lipo charger

you can get the integy 1400 pack from tower hobbies for about 18.... im going to get it soon.

im glad i bought the st over the buggy because there are so many things you can do with it. the other day, i wanted to see how good it really was, so i went rock crawling. it did surprisingly well.

as great as the ST may seem..... those stock tires sux... there need to be racing tire for it..

now you can buy the half8th hex and use the half8th ST wheels and it will drive 10 times better (on a dirt track ofcourse) those tires are great,,, just make sure you change your gearing accordingly-- a smaller pinion

or you can use the stock wheels and buy sets of front 4wd 10th scale buggy tires and cut them to make the diameter smaller (I have already done this using inside jobs in front and holeshots in rear,,, this works great),,, you can also use the crimefighters by proline made for the half8th buggy and cut them to make them wider... but that is expensive and would require 2 tires per wheel (im planning on doing this also)

also keeping my finger crossed,, I have been corresponding with proline about making tires to fit the stock wheels of both the buggy and the truck,,,, and also making a decent wheel for the buggy

comparing the buggy with the truck... well the buggy has been very good to me very fast and quick on the switch backs.. I love my buggy.... now for the truck the build is better with the use of PBS but the only difference with the two vehicles are... the truck carries way more corner speed but the buggy turns quicker and sharper and correcting position while in flight is a lil less responsive and driver friendly.... the truck also drives better and faster over rough terrain (with non stock tires)
they both are good and are both great racers all depends on the track and surface ,,,, I have raced both of mine on a 10th scale dirt offroad track ,, against 10th scale vehicles and I have either placed very well in races or I had problems with car and just didntt place at all....

i was jumping my vendetta st today and on this one jump, i landed horizontally to the jump on two wheels. next thing i know he wheels are bouncing all over the street. i thought that maybe the screws that held the wheels on could have been loose, but when i picked up a wheel, i saw that the screw was still there. what happened was that the axle snapped right off on both front and back wheels.

so does anyone know if this is covered by the stress tech guarantee?
