Hey guys, right I seem to have a big problem going forward the car makes lots of gears noise and dosent go its full potential, tried every gear mesh position i can no diffrence. But when put into revese its quiet and wizez along amazinglly, what is wrong its like the motor is the wrong way round, PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!

Take the diff apart and see if anything is binding it.

Yea I just had a look there didnt seem to be anything unusuall, the spur gear though seems to have alot of play???
It just dosent make sense i only got it the other day.

Did you tighten the slipper clutch?

Yea i have tightend it loosend it, etc its just so wierd its like the motor is the wrong way round its flies in reverse and is soooo silent but complete opposite in forward???

I just tried taking out the motor and trying it in forward and reverse it reve higher in reverse and is a more normall sound, in forward it is a more stranger sound but dosent rev as high???

the problem with the spur moving too much is with the brass bushings inside transmission case.......i bought 4 micro t's and 1 was missing the bushing....one more had a bushing that seemed to be bigger size then it should be.........the other 2 had everything the way it's supposed to be. My suggestion is to buy the assembled transmission (it includes bushings).....replace the old one and keep the spare parts. Good luck....

Yea thats good advice but i cant find anywhere that sells the whole transmission in the uk, i have spoken to the place where i purchased it from so im going to sent it back and they will have alook.

If you say thqt going in reverse seems like normal speed for going forward and vice versa. Then your motor wires are switched, I know it seems crazy but try it, it might just work.

I have a similar problem with mine but it drives fine after 15 seconds. At first it sounds like a gear is stripped or the motor isn't making contact or something and it goes at about half speed. But in like 15-20 seconds it fixes itself and runs fine. So how long did you run it on each time you hit that on/off switch?

mine is louder in reverse than driving forward, what would be the cause? or is it normal?

yeh mine is also louder in reverse, i think its because i run forward so much and the gears have gotten into a bit of a pattern for going forward and dont like to go reverse. I also have ALOT of play with my spur, so im going to buy a new trans soon.

I had this happen to me. Heres what i did. I took the tranny apart and put some goop in the gears. I Let that dry overnight and the next moring I superglued the hole inside of the tranny so the slipping wall would slip anymore and no it works great.

Take the tires off and clean the fuzz ball out of the hubs. Bet thats your problem. Can't see it with tires on.

try loosening up the screws on the tranny case, and try to make sure the pinion and slipper gear aren't meshing too tight

Hi guys thx for the help so far I sent it off today to the seller to have a look at, if they see theres a problem they will. Refund my postage, new micro t and a spare batttery for the troubles which is nice so hopefully tommo. I will get a e mail saying its been sent.

This is true. I have had cars not run at all due to fuzz from carpet or loose grass from the yard clog the hub causing awkward performance.
