RE: Bay Area Mini's
Yeah a bigger screen would be nice, but it just kills your batteries that much faster. I really don't need to see all the fancy graphs and info, I go by how the settings make the car respond.

ok
well i was just running my Z
and it was going fine
then it just started to WAY WAY slow down
then it smoked
i took a look @ the pcb,,, nothing looks bad (but then again might be a fet or something)
is there anyway i can figure out if its only the fets gone bad
of the entire board
it has the old 3004 fets in it right now
i bought some 8962 fets but cant solder them
so i get them soldered @ ILR next time

RE: Bay Area Mini's
ok well i am VERY VERY PISSED
and to answer ur question zac,, there was a small like idk how 2 explain it
but discolored and looked like melted plastic
not sure if it is still go tho since the other 1 was like that 2
so here is why i am pissed
just ran it this morning
all of sudden it slows WAY down
POP,, smoking
decide to give it some rest
and take it apart
look @ the pcb and the fets are messed up
so when it was just sitting there
i picked it up to check it out another time
and the servo wire popped
no problem there
but thats when the bad ***** started happening
i soldered the servo back in
brought it back 2 my room to re assemble
the battery wire from pcb came off
solder that back in
brought it back 2 my room to reassemble also
couldnt get the other thing that goes in to the servo gears (circle)
on,,,, that popped off (the wires)
solder that back on
so its all good
and im all like whew finally
then i go down to get some food
and my stoopid cat nocks the thing over!
the servo gears come out! cuz i wasnt done reassembling
try it again it all works
try put on the motor wires on the pcb
THE MOTOR WIREs COME OFF
OMG
then the only good thing happens
my mom comes home with some paint for my vds lid
but then it starts to rain OMG!
pretty sure my board is toast now
o well....
time to find a board now

RE: Bay Area Mini's
Anyone going to ILR on Saturday night, for their race night? Got to race on their open track today and getting a much
better feel for the car. Have put the Kyosho Ball Diff on and put a new motor in, the Speedy 07. It's a hell of a lot of fun.
Anyways, hope some of you will be able to go on Saturday night. Was a lot of fun the last time I went.
