Well I'm in the middle of building a track for my kids mini's, so I guess I better include a oval in it.

very very cool, I wonder if the chassis alone is a up-grade for the mini t.
the chassis is longer than the mini-t/baja/pro according to losi to make it more stable. seems like they took the idea from team bluegroove of revamping the chassis and then slapped on a sweet looking body/ wheel combo to boot. hopefully the chassis parts are released soon to convert mini-ts

Yeah, a picture is worth a thousand words. What about a few pictures as well as some video footage of these little beast. Thats right. Here are afew photos of last night racing. Team Losi R&D team was there doing some testing. Team Losi brought out a full production car that was very promising. The first photo is a prototype Losi sprint car. Very impressive design and it handles like it was on rails. I will also be posting some videos tommorrow of these Losi sliders mini 1/18th scale sprint car. Thanks to Team Losi for displaying these cars for us at Fremont Raceway. The photos posted is the prototype and test vehicle for team losi. As you can see, there are gonna be upgrades for the slider. The late model body will also be available. I will also take more photos and videos of the prodction kit. Video can be seen here:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Eqpa5nW0m5k

BTW: The 60 lap club is a club for elite racers. Only afew handful of racers have ever reached 60 laps in 5 minutes. One of the losi drivers hit 61 laps with the production Losi-Mini Slider sprint car. Way to go team losi

They changed those street tires to foams^^^^^ lol. That's because a street tire is the worst possible choice for a dirt oval. You need foams or at least step pins if they are going to be rubber.

I'm taking a break from racing my mini. I'm racing my 1/10 truck this next season but I may have to convert a mini-t for next time. The best part is that they have mounts for a late model body now and it is streached so I can use batteries from my rc18, which is what I'm useing now.

I have no doubt I will see them at my track.

From looking at the pics you would think so... Might be a future upgrade for the car from Losi.

OK to clear something up: Things got confusing when HP Invent said:
"The first photo is a prototype Losi sprint car."
and then
"The photos posted is the prototype and test vehicle for team losi."

So I don't think the production will come with a carbon chassis. I think those are photos of the prototype only.

Anyway, what I really wanted to say is that I REALLY like the extended chassis. Hopefully my mini baja stuff will bolt up to it so I can get just an extended chassis. The "old chassis" is way to short on the wheelbase. This would be good for both bashers and racers I think.

The yellow and silver sprint bodies are production chassis ( plastic chassis ); while the one with the carbon fiber is a prototype.

looking at the prototype chassis, there isnt enough space on it to mount the rollcage... maybe it can be offered as a hardcore racing upgrade, like a low cg without the rollcage, plus the weight reduction of having a thin strip instead of a plate, and then have it made out of carbon fiber as well...

I think this is really cool. There are a few dirt ovals around here. Guess I will need to check and see if they run mini classes too...

All of the mini-t wheels and tires will fit. Make sure you get front and rear seperate, they are different. The foams in the picture have grooves cut in them. I think you can use an exacto knife or dremel cutting wheel. I am kind of new to foams so I will be doing this to a few of my cars.
