my advice: don't get the mini quake. i got one cause i wanted to handicap myself when racing with you guys so it would be more fair.
if i were you i would get a vendetta buggy.

Why bash the Mini Quake?

My 6yr old son has the Mini Quake SE. He bashes the heck out of it every night and it just keeps on going and going. The Vendetta buggy and the Vendetta ST are also good for off-road.

the MQ is good for bashing but can't be easy to race.

I beg to differ on the mini quake. It is very racable. You just have to set it up correctly...

The detta st is a good choice. So is the xray m18t series. (my two favorites).

The trinity blade is pretty old and not very popular. Its your average run of the mill r/c with nothing special to it. Its very similar to an rc18t in general drive characteristics. steering is kinda loose and the shocks could be much better. Parts support is somewhat lacking since this truck never really gained a loyal following. So you'l be ordering 90% of your parts online. Aftermarket is limited as well. Its not a bad r/c... but its nothing special either. There are better choices out there for the price.

Anyone got a size comparison on mini's?

I've just bagged a Kyosho Mini-Inferno a-la-JGSDF LAV ~cheap~ ($45 shipped) and wondered if another mini 1/16 or so~ might fit the bill.

I need trackwidth/wheelbase, and ease of stretching the chassis. Oh, and ground clearance at max lift.

Reason: Looking to stuff one under 1/16 armor chassis (Hummer etc)
