Default rc18t shock problems

Does anyone have a trick to stop the lower shock cap (on the bottom of the body of shock) from falling out and blowing the shocks? Mine blow out after 2 laps and it gets realllllly frustrating. I am not talking about the lower spring retaining hat... Please help

get some 3racing shocks, they don't have the bottom plastic caps. never get the factory team shocks though, it's just the same thing but the shock body is aluminum and the cap comes off easier. i hated the FT shocks, waste of $40 bucks, plus the 3racing ones on ebay are like $26 + shipping. or do what i did when i ran my rc18t on a 1/8 truggy track, buy a BRAND new set of shocks ($10 per pair) and put a dab of CA near the cap and pop on the shocks but instead put them in upside down. so that the rod end is attached to the shock tower, this will reduce heavy recoil that pops off the caps off on hard impact. hope that helps

I disagree about the FT shocks. I've been running them for about 2 weeks now and no leaks. Mind you I only run on a dirt track designed for 1/8 scale so were talking worst possible case.
