goto one18th.com they have a pretty good write up on the mini zilla. can't comment on mini quake but, i had a mini lst and its not as durable "at all" and fun to drive as a mz.

I have mini-zilla and haven't driven it yet. I'll look tomorrow and see the battery.

The MiniZilla uses a standard 6-Cell 7.2V Battery.

my guess is for racing you need to lower it a lot.

heres a pix of my mz. i ran it with mamba 6800, trinity monster, orion big block, m-lst frenzy, baja but still like the stock motor. first upgrade/s in order is; alloy gpm or 3racing front bulkhead, metal/alloy pinion 15t-18t, good battery pack, oil shocks (3racing are good), caw 10scale hexes, wider/offset rims, cvd's(gpm ti are best). and you'll have an awsome minizilla. btw my mz doesnt flip easy.
