RE: good car?
i have a NT18MT rtr and love it.. its a very tough truck and pretty fast for its size. mine gets up to about 30mph. the tanks last anywhere from 5-13 mins depending on how you drive it.i bought mine from amainhobbies.com. i recomend this for anyone who wants a mini. i love mine so much i will be getting the n18 as well as the electric monster truck. xray makes some quality stuff. heres some pics of mine with my tmaxx

Marty's Hobbies in Thousand Oaks is listed as a dealer.
http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/other/worlddeal.php
You may consider buying it locally as well since then they will be more inclined to keep parts in stock versus special orders.

RE: good car?
Might be easier to get parts if you got an Associated or Losi. Both MiniT and RC18xx (I am partial to the MiniLST2) are great trucks with tons of after market parts and parts available at most hobby shops. I live in the LA area and NO X-ray parts in stock anywhere. Having said that it did not stop me from getting and NT18. I heard the electric offroad versions are tough but I have never seen one, even at tracks around here.
