just be careful what you say to ppl.. the slightest thing can be mistaken as a terrorist threat..

and for those with loud meshes.. make sure you are using a steel pinion,, that is metric and the spur is brand new..

a worn spur with a new pinion will be lud,, and visa-versa..
A terrorist threat [sm=confused_smile.gif][sm=confused.gif] I dont think saying "Get in your appt or I will kick your ass" is a terrorist threat. I could see if I said bomb or somthing but I know well enough not to say that. My mom and her b/f said hes just a old man that has nothing better to do and thinks he runs the joint. The neighbors down the street said "did they just yell at you" I said yea and the neighbors said "wow what bs" So its only the people who think they run the place which they dont that think RC is bad.

So a metric pinion? Hmmm. How can you tell? Mine seems to "mesh" together ok and seem fine when I put it together, but it just squeeks!! Easily twice as loud as the stock VR3 setup. I just wish it was quieter so I could run it at night.

if you didnt get one of these,, then it might not be metric,, but duratrax makes a few awell as a few other companies.. but for the bigger brushless motors.. these are the pinions you want to use..

Hey Jae, the video link that is above, did you make this video? If you did what song and what artist is it? I like progressive house trance music that's why I'm asking.

Hey, when you get time and feel like looking it up that would be great. I'm not a dj but I have over a hundred progressive house and trance cd's. I love it. Thanks Jae.

Excellent Jae, I looked it up on the internet. Cool. Now I'll have to see if the cd stores carry it. Thanks man. I'm getting my Vendetta ST on Monday, can't wait. When changing the plugs to Deans, is it recommended to change them not only on the battery and esc side but also for the motor and esc? I bought a soldering kit, and I've read some forums but I just wanted to make sure what the best way to do it is.

Interesting. Well, I guess I should buy a better esc then. I heard many recommendations for esc's but what do you think?

I plan on racing the Vendetta St stock with the VR3 motor, so which one out of the Futaba mc230cr or Novak Spy would be better for this application? Also if both you and Jae are recommending to hardwire the motor to the esc, what is the best way to de-solder the current wire connection on the esc?

if ur talking about how to desolder...
i use one of those bulb thingys where u heat the solder up
and the suction sucks up the solder

if u just want to remove connector...
just cut each wire SEPERATELY!
and strip them ...
then solder

o since ur racing i would go with
the novak micro gt
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJUF8&P=7
but that may be a little to pricey

ask others to see there experiences with the
escs

i really liked my spy it was very smooth and never got crazy hot

Thanks carpet. I read somewhere that you were 12. You know a lot for being 12. Thanks for the info and recommendations. I was hoping Jae would have read this as well and see what he thinks about which esc he recommends. Maybe he can still read this and give his opinion or anyone else for that matter.

i dont know much about the brushed esc's.. i only run the brushless motors/esc's

but if other racers are using it,, then it must be a good one.. check around,, look at pics.. especially in the uk.. all those guys run brushed motors
