Default I know what you're thinking...!

Hey Guys

Really,... I know what you are thinking when I ask this question. But I did,... do some searches, and quite a bit of reading, but still didn't answer my question...

The Question:
If I switch out the "Stock" ESC from my Losi Mini Monster Baja to another that is Foward only would or could that have any effect on my total "Runtime" out of a charge..?? I'm still having 4-1/2 to 5 min times, with the new pack (1000 Mah) that came with my MMB.. Does this sound right, with the spur clearences checked...OK and the balance of the drivetrain good and free..?? The brushes and their condition don't cause me to be suspicious of them,.. there is plenty of unloaded rpm, and they sound very smooth and I never have to nudge the MMB after a full stop..??

The only component getting warm after a run is the battery itself...And that being only 120 degrees or so,...just good and warm in the palm of my hand...

I'm pretty new to "Electron Power" but this is not consistent with some of the times that other folks have stated with their MMB's

Thanks for your time ,...here ..................Dave..

Is your slipper tightened to it's optimal position? If not then try that. Are you saying the car is reving up but not moving to the sound? (that was a lame question but to the point).

No Mugen,.... I must not have done a good job of explaining...

My question is ...If I switched ESC's would or could that have an affect on my runtime outa' my pack,... which is still less than a dozen runs away from ,new..??

And then: Is only 4 or 5 mins, a realistic number of mins to get outa' a 1000 Mah Li-po pack,...With the aforementioned conditions on the drivetrain..??

Comprende..?? No,.. I'm not Hispanic...

..Thanks.....Dave..

LOL.....thats ok Dave...it's me that was messed up there. A bigger esc will draw more ohms than a smaller one for sure. Check out the ohm draw on a micro esc and a 1/10 esc. You will see what I mean once you do. It may not have a great affect on run time though. IMO 6 mins run time is crappy. Then again those 1000mah packs are not that great either. If you want run time try a bigger pack like a 1400 or so. Kevin

Yes I am in the process of doing exactly that....I've been eyeing some of the 1800-2150 Mah packs that come outa' Korea,.. the Poly-Quest...

Am I kinda' close to correct, in assuming that it will take 3 hours to charge a 2000Mah pack if my charger typically needs 1-1/2 hrs to charge my current 1000 Mah Li-po..??

Like I admitted earlier,...I'm still kinda' new to "Electron fuel",.. and all of it's habits....

Later.............................Dave..

Get this pack from this site. This pack will give you about 20 to 30 mins of balls to the walls run time I think. I had it for a while now and I went through so much packs I lost count and it still works really good
