Micro Desert Truck experts please step in!
Ok i searched all the desert truck threads and couldnt come up with the answer i needed. Im in the process of converting from brushed to brushless. So heres the problem, ive got the jr sport servo losi recommends, and ive change out the two top gears. When i do this though, the JR servo case will no longer fit over the replaced gears.
Any help is appreciate!
Thanks!

are you using the sm22 servo? and if so all you have to do is take a servo horn out of the box cut 3 ears off and put a small screw in the top hole. find center of your servo and drop it in. there is no need to decase any gears or replace any in the servo. there is no need for a servo saver, its so lite and the tie rods are lexan it will be fine.

ok i just cut three of the ears off one of the horns and put a small screw in the hole at the end of the tab that fits in the slot in the drag link. all i did to the sm22 was cut the mounting tabs off the servo. popped the modded horn with screw sticking out to go in the draglink and that was it. i hope this helps. i have my truck apart for more changes. i will take some pics later after i get my 5yr old to sleep.

For the SM22 Losi recommends the LOSB0820 servo saver, comes with the feed horn.

It’s the HiTec HS-55 servo that the top two gears fit in so you can use the stock servo saver and feed horn in a Micro-T, -B, or –Desert Truck, the down side of using an HS55 is that you do need to enlarge the servo compartment just a bit.
Or if you don’t want a servo saver, as described above, you can make your own feed horn using the parts that come with the SM22.

servo savers are good and all but unless you are using titanium turnbuckles as steeringlinkages then you will be fine even then you dont need them the sm22 is a very sturdy servo

servo saver was actually out before anything else was, it just wasnt listed on any sites for sale yet.. horizon had them, and people was contacting them and ordering before it was listed..
