Delrin would be the better choice for a spur gear for two reasons:
1. Metal on metal gears wear faster and can create radio interference.
2. A spur gear should be the weak gear because it is cheap and easy to replace. Delrin isn't weak but it is more likely to strip than the inside of the tranny.
