Default micro t atomic bb

a few questions. i just got a micro t and did the lipo, wheel bearings, and atomic bb. i still need the gear box bearings.

1 do i need the 2 gearbox bearings?
2 do i have to break in the atomic bb
3 is the atomic really an upgrade, it looks exactly like the stock motor. i know it is supposed to hve bronse bushings but it looks like the stock one already has them.

thanks i n advance for the advise

I disagree ! My son has a stock Micro T with LiPo and mine with the Atomic motor KILLS his in a drag race . Both were bought at the same time , and both have bearings and same gearing .

The micro BB's are hit and miss...havent quite figured out why yet. I have had 4 of em and 2 out of the 4 were faster than stock, 1 was slower than stock, and the other was the same. I agree with revo3...brushless!!!

is the brushless faster? ive heard people say its not. i can imagine it adds some weight. does the brushless increase run times? does the brushless have the low end grunt(tourqe)?

Brushless is faster.

Why would you think it adds weight?

Yes it increases run times.

Yes it has much torque.

Yes yes and yes...It is just as fast as my modified mini t...runtimes are around 20 minutes with the stock lipo, it will flip itself over cause it has so much torque on the low end.

Oh and as far as the wieght goes:

Micro T with factory lipo, street meats, atomic BB = 98g
Micro T with factory lipo, stock tires, brushless set up with reciever, spead control, 10250kv motor =100g

I also wieghed some stock fronts without bearings and streat meat fronts without bearings and there is about 1 1/2 gram wieght difference inbetween the 2, so if you want to get technical the brushless set up is 1/2 a gram heavier than a micro with the BB and lipo
