Default Everybody knows about the MG16..

The Cen MG16 is a great nitro mini truck for a little prise ($200).

Now there is an electric version, the ME16.. I like the fact it uses standard electronics and a 540 size motor.
[link=http://www.cenracing.com/censports/me16mt.html]Cen ME16[/link] It's going to make a great basher IMO

What does everybody think?

this certainly looks like a winner to me if cen can have ample parts support and if the drivetrain will hold up. I couldn't even imagine my vxl in there! OMG

I say it should be cool, same chasis... should be AWESOME, especally since there were a few issues with the nitro arangment and the exhaust pipe......

This looks like it could take the abuse of brushless systems better than most minis.

dont forget how unsuccessful the mini madness was they gave them away for free, not saying anything bad but the gennesis is not what I would call a race machine either, but there 1/8 scale race rides are ok.

The GST/Nemesis are GOOD trucks, and their 1/10s are ok, but the mini madness was a piece of junk. The motor and battery are good, but the chassis/suspension were TERRIBLE.
The MG and ME series look to be completely different from the mini madness though.

the MG, aside from the exaust, the brushings and a few other minor things was a very tough and reliable truck! I never heard of anyone having drive train issues with it!
So im assuming his ME version in EXATLY the same as the MG version, only it is set-up for big ASS electric motors and packs. So i would think that the drivetrain should deffinitly stand up to an average brushless set up. Who knows mabye even a Top end BL set up with a 3S Li-Po!!!![X(]

I love how it uses 7.4 volt 1/10th scale packs. I might have to get one of these for bashing.

Ummm. This is electric. If ur crt .5 is electric too, then we'll talk, but with a decent batt and a goood brushless setup, this thing would be CRAZY FAST !!!

the genesis isnt a good race truck unless you race flat track and everyone else goes backwards that truck is a 22 lb turd if you like to bash it might go fast enough to catch some air a gut came to the track with one to race he left after the first qualifier TURD TURD TURD

I plan on buying one as soon as they become available. Cen said they would arrive on Christmas week, or the first week in Jan.

i would prefer to mod the MG version personally. I looked at the chassis layout and i do not like the battery location. But if it is any thing like my MG16 it will be a good rc to have.

I know what you are saying.. I would do the same thing with my NEXT (instead of buying the new electric version).

For anybody that is interested in it, the new R/C Driver mag did a review on it, even though I find it a "Perfect Truck" review(January 08 issue?). Only good mag out these days is R/C Car!! My opinion of coarse
