The diffs (differentials) are located at the front and rear of your vehicle inside a gear box.. Put the front wheels on the ground and spin one of the rear wheels.. It should spin smoothly with no grinding affect/noise (if it does take it apart and find the problem, if you do not feel confident you can also take it to your Hobby Shop and ask them if they will take a look at it). Do the same with the front..
If you still can't find the problem, check the spur/pinion mesh (might want to do this first).

If the other rear wheel was not spinning in the other direction (of the one you were spinning by hand) you have a problem with the rear diff (if I understand correctly).. Time to take a closer look

RE: Trinity Now 1st Impression
I just got done running the first pack through mine and it was pretty freakin awsome !
Just as much power/accelleration as my RC18T with the Mamba 8000Kv motor .
Mine came with all instructions and after a quick check all screws were tight .
Dont know top speed but it seems like its in the 40 mph range .
I for one am satisfied with this truck , considering what I had to do too my RC 18 I think its a bargain for 209 .

If tightening the screws will keep a good mesh in place, then it may stop the grinding noise. It all depends on where the grinding is coming from. If its from the diffs, then tightening screws is useless. Chris007, in your case, Your rear diff may be toast from what you described in a previous post. You will have to open up the rear diff and check to see if any of the gears are broken.
Just a quick tip, Its highly suggested that you tear down the truck and rebuild it w/ loctite before running it. Most factory RTR vehicles are slapped together by people who may not necessarily be into the whole R/C scene. So you never know if your truck will be put together correctly or just slapped together. When you re-build the truck yourself, you will know that everything was put together properly.
Also about the comment about everything in this hobby being junk...
Its only junk if you are not prepared to repair, re-build, and tinker. That's why its a HOBBY. Don't get discouraged. Its a great hobby if you're willing to put in the time and effort. I'm am sure trinity will work out the bugs and come out with fixes. Trust me, if you think the NOW has problems, you should've seen the mlst when it was first released.

The more I run this thing the more I like it ! , I havent had a chance to run it in dirt but it jumps indoors like a much larger car , nice and smooth . No hopping or getting outta shape during landings like the RC18 or my Mini T .
The battery is Trinity's LiPRO battery and has a hard plastic case , which is nice .
It is a loud car , louder than my RC18 . I checked the motor and its tight . Diffs are nice and smooth .
Speaking of the motor , WOW ! its got gobs of torque ! It will wheelie like a funny car if your too trigger happy .
It is a little rough around the edges , but all in all I think its a great little car . I can see a lot of CF parts being made for it as they are flat pieces and would be easy too make .

take the rear sway bar off. and Remove the set screws in the arms to allow full droop. Makes it handly so much better
I have a couple 70mph passes on mine with 8000kv motor and 17pinion. 13t is stock. its stupid fast with 8000kv motor
