I tried that motor in my Mini-T. No lie it lasted about 5 minutes. The end bell popped off and the motor was all over the street. That was the first time I tried going cheap on a brushless and I'll never do it again. Maybe I got a defective motor because I have read that a lot of people are having good luck with theirs but it's nothing but Mamba for me baby. I've delt with Castle Creations for about 3 years now. I've had nothing go wrong that wasn't my fault and even with that, I've sent back 2 ESC and 1 Motor, didn't pay a dime.

do you guys think that the aluminum steering assembly will take more slop out instead of a draglink..

i mean i altready have a draglink but it is worn down quite a lot.. and it creates slopbut i guess tat the plastic steering does also..

ok, I must be new or something. The Super MIP Diff instructions mention putting the orange grease on the 'small' thrust balls? Where are these small thrust balls?

I picked up the AE Factory Team Carbide Diff Balls x 8, and thought that was all that would needed. Do I have to take apart my stock Diff to get these 'small' thrust balls to use with the MIP Super Diff? Tx.

The Thrust balls should be with the MIP kit. I know they were when I got my MIP diff for my Mini-T. But after a few break downs of the dif I slowly lost a few of them and now dont really see a difference with or without them.

I got em out (from the stock plastic diff) with a mini screwdriver. There were 7 of the lil buggers.

No mini thrust balls came with these Super MIP Diffs.

I was hoping I would not have to molest the stock diffs.

Thanks.

Another ques... do I use the original black thrust spring, or the small one included with the Super MIPs? It says 'Use standard spring support on thrust side' but want to be sure, otherwise why would they bother including a spring?

I have the DP Drag Link, but is it even needed now that I have the 3racing aluminum steering assembly?

Or should I use the DP Drag Link together with the aluminum steering assembly?

tx

hey oldzy are you building a factory team kit or upgrading one of the rtr's? the FT kit comes with a hitex servo saver. Also you will need to call hitec and get them to send you a longer screw to use with the 65mg servo (unless you manage to find one in a store... if you do then you are amazing.

you'd have to get 100 first, and how would that be a difference than the LHS selling tiny screws for 2-3 bucks a pack (which is usually 2-4 screws) its a mad ripoff but damnit I need em now so I pay.

Upgrading an RC18MT. I didn't see a Hitec Servo Saver in the kit, only some very thin small c -shaped plastic pieces, plastic screwdriver, allen key and 4-way wrench. I just ordered one for $3.00.

What size/length screw is needed? Anywhere on feebay to find it?

Tx.
