RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
once you become a member of PB, you upload a picture from your hard rive to their site.
Once the site has your picture on their server, there will be a box that has a name called "img code"
You copy what is in that box and paste it in the forum post.
It has to have the [IMG] [/IMG] code
does this help?

RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
good to hear and looking forward to your progress.
I installed a new lid, tires, and rims this weekend and will be updating the ME16 thread.

RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
Muck I really like those Slash tires on there, if for some reason I end up keeping mine I may have to do that.
I got my MG16-MT and ME16-MT, broke in the MG but didn't run it anymore. I also ran through one charge of the stock pack on the ME. They're very nice little trucksand see like a lot of fun. A friend of mine got one of the Traxxas Mini's though and seeing it in person I fell in love. Now the new ME16 and MG16 are in the market place lol.

RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
Do you have Traxxas shocks on your ME?
I emailed CEN and they said the oil weight is 30. I'm thinking I first need to change to stiffer springs on my MG before I mess with anything else and especially before I entertain wasting money on some piggybacks . From the limited non-aggressive driving I've done so far, I don't think the stock setup is going to cut it on meaner terrain and ramps.

RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
I just aquired the ME and MG version of this little car and I must say I am impressed with both of them. I did want to see if anyone had a pile of spare parts lying around they would be interested in selling.

Atomic Hobbies on ebay carries a number of the parts for the nitro version. As you know some of the elect interchange.

RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
Muck, I was doing a search today and came across an old thread where you were asking for opinions on the Schumacher Rascal. Aside from the ME16, the Rascal has also garnered my attention. We seem to have interest in the same R/C units...but probably not college football teams.

What is football? LOL JK. Not a big ball fan, more drag racing and these fun things.
I wanted a rascal but after having BL and Lipo, i am not sure i will go back to nitro. Maybe 5th scale...

RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
So both the MG and the ME are a blast but Ihave decided Iam going to stick with electric. I have the MG with maybe 10 tanks of fuel through it and no broken parts I am going to part with. If anyone is interested let me know. I may be interested in trading for a BL system for my ME. It will soon be in the market place along with an awesome RC10GT with a ton of parts for sale!

RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
Greetings. I swapped the stock shocks for four Traxxas Slash fronts. The progressive spring setup should be nice once I'm done tinkering with it. Without pre-load spacers the Slash shocks are SOFTER than the stock shocks! Ahhh...not what I was going for. Luckily, lowering the installed height of progressive springs with pre-load spacers increases the spring stiffness. I am going to try different springs and will share on this subject at a later time. With the stock CEN shocks the frame would tap the floor from a five inch static drop. Loading up the Slash shocks with pre-load increased this distance to 7.5 inchs. Keep in mind adding pre-load only worked because the Slash springs have a progressive rate.
On the horizon are adjustable camber links, wheel bearings, and 1" wheel extensions. So far I have installed both front camber links. I bought Traxxas Rustler camber links (turnbuckles) and had to hacksaw down the two shorter ones. You need to remove six threads on boths ends of the two links (4 total cuts). I swapped wheel axle bushings for bearings on one front wheel and also installed a 1" wheel extension. Wheel bearing size is 5x11x4mm. Parts interchangeability note: Traxxas Rustler, Stampede, and Slash use this size.
I was going to do the other front tonight as well, but upon disassembly I unexpectedly discovered a cracked carrier.
To further enhance this post, here are some pictures:
To get as far as I have, you'll need some metric hardware. I used 3mmx16mm bolts at the bottom of all four shocks. I used 3mmx12mm allen head bolts to attach the front adjustable camber links to the front shock tower (I reused the OEM bolts where the other end of the camber links attach to the top of the carrier). In order to remove the bolts from the stock camber links at the back of the front shock tower in the first place (and to easily secure the new camber links), I removed the front bumper so I could access the bolts to remove the front shock tower.
Since I haven't touched the rears, I can't comment on those yet. Stay tuned...

RE: OFFICIAL CEN MG16 THREAD
the 1" extenders should allow for a side pipe. I am thinking the AE rc10gt manifold for pull starts and the CRT .5 pipe would be a perfect fit.
Stock up on arms, the extensions will take the arms out on larger jumps and or front impacts...
