Default RE: longer running time?

3 ways to increase runtime
- more efficient motor
- less work for the motot (less binding drivetrain/proper gearing/go easy on throttle)
- higher capacity batteries.

You can get packs with 1500mAh nimh batteries at www.cheapbatterypacks.com

Making a custom pack using 2000mAh batteries is also an option :
e.g. http://beomagi.ath.cx/pics/mini-t/P1000282.JPG
That's 6 elite 2000mAh 4/5A batteries.

Lipo's help too, but beware of cut off voltages!

Using brushless need not only be used for power, but also runtime! a lower kv motor will increase runtime tremendously and give great low speed throttle control.

yeah I was looking at 1500 mah packs but thats not much more runtime then my 1100 mah, do the wheel bearings give more runtime, I have heard people say they increase speed and runtime?

Yes they give both that and the Elite 1500 battery and you would have about an extra 5 min of runtime.

They do. Hard to quantify it, but anything that makes the engine work less, WILL increase your runtime.I found 1500 to be a fair increase over the stock 1100mAh pack of my rc18t.

Also the Losi pack is not the best quality pack out there. The Elite is IMO, the IB 1400 or GP 1300 are nice too.
