on 4-28-08 at approximately 1030hours I, jaejw1,responded to hobbypeople of lakeforest to check on a lipo pack.....

while driving to the movie theater after deciding not to have lunch with my fiance ,I made a detour to my LHS to check if they carried a high rated lipo pack..

upon my arrival I contacted informant mark,who stated that they dont carry a lipo pack rated that high. he asked what it was for and I answered "its for the awesome duratrax vendetta,the best mini in the world"

I informed I/mark that the motor I was using was the Neu 1105/1.5y,,, he stated that those motrs are great but very hard on batteries.

I told I/MARK that I was running the permax 400/4d,,, told him it was the absolute best motor I have ever ran..

I/MARK went to the display case where the brushless motors were kept... and he shuffled through some permax 480 boxes,, I didnt know why he was checking.. this store never carried the 400/4d....

moments later I/MARK pulled out a box... and the sticker on it said "400/4d",,,, I thought yeah right and even if it was the 400/4d it will probably be the 2.3mm version.

I/MARK gave me the box,, my heart pounded from excitement,I slowly opened the box. there was this blinding light and angels singing.... I shielded my eyes and closed them to allow my eyes to focus. the blinding light was coming from the ambient light from the hanging lights above REFLECTING OFF THE 3.2MM SHAFT!!!!!

I became nervous and started to shake... I tried to speak but no words came out,, I was confused and I didnt know what to do. one thought was to reach for my gun and rob the store but
I hurridly reached into my rear pocket ,, shuffled through my police ID and badge and pulled out my credit card

69 dollars later im a proud owner of a brand new Permax 400/4d

now im on my way to see "THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM"

btw,, the movie was pretty good..

oh i have plenty of old videos with me and the lovely permax.. the problem is that they dont make them any more and to find one at my LHS was just a gem find

That Vendetta jumps well [8D], good balance and control on that dirt too, you got that type of setup nailed. I've not tried that kind of jumping or using wings yet...
