Default Battery

Hey everyone!

I just finished rebuilding my diffs, and now i have a small problem, my lipo has some issues

I have an Align 2100mah 20C batt that gives me loads of power (balloons tires)
I also have polyquest 1600mah 20C batt that has some problems

Now, with the polyquest, i dont know why it doesnt have enough power, it goes to very little power in almost 15 seconds... like slower than stock power

By the way, i have an RC18MT

Diggity Designs full CF chassis
MIP Diffs
MIP CVDs
Lunsford Titanium Turnbuckles

Mamba25 ESC
Mamba 6700kx motor

I dont know what to do...

Now my question is, can i save this battery? And if not what battery do you guys suggest to put in the DD chassis (make sure it fits) if you can find one with the same size as the polyquest that would be awesome!

I want to stay 3cell at least 20C, at least 1600mah

Thanks so much guys!

Give me all the options! Forget my requests! List em all!

Thanks again!!!!

no no, this problem started after i left the batt alone for about 6 months at full charge...

So i dunno

Could it be the connectors? They may have gunk on em?

it's my understanding that storing lipo's at full charge will lose punch due to increased internal resistance. im not sure what exactly causes this, but that seems to be the consensus.

im guesssing its probably done. you might try cycling it a few times and see if it gets any better....

i don't have your chassis so idk for sure. measure your battery tray and then check out [link=http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?catname=25C+Disch arge&idCategory=240&ParentCat=85]hobbycity[/link]! the zippy & rhino stuff is jam up and dirt cheap! you pay more for shipping, but you'll still save a ton and they have it here in 4-5 days from china!

I would stay with that same cell. The cells in that pack are enerland cells. A replacement that I know of would be flightpower. If you look around, you should be able to buy packs with the enerland 1600mah cell from enerland, polyquest, poly-rc, hyperion, flightpower, trakpower, and probably a couple I missed. They are the best of the best. Hobbycity packs are alright, I own a couple myself. Just stay away from maxamps!

You killed the batteries. If you run a lipo cell below 3.3V per cell, it will internally damage them, and make them have a very short if any runtime. Unfortunately you can't cycle them and bring them back to life.

When your running your car, and you think the battery might be going dead, take it out of the car and put it on the charger. You can also install a lipo cut-off, like the Novak Smart-Stop LiPo cut off, that will automatically cut the power going to the ESC when it senses its to low.

Hobby City is also a very good place for LiPo batts, like mentioned earlier. I have had several of the Zippy packs, with no problems at all.

I second the Max Amps, their stuff is junk, stay a way from it.
