I rock these

Gadex (aka Action LiPo) is made by BYD, 2nd largest battery manufacturer in the world, and they work great!
Well, so much for them working great. I was on ~5th charge and when checked with my lipo meter one cell has gotten way under voltaged. Charger won't charge it anymore. I always balance charged them at 1C and stopped running as soon as they hit LVC Time to try out the Turnigy's!

Our indoor racing season has started, and I would like to try some different tires/wheels. I've read through the tire test forum that was posted, but I guess I'm a tad confused. The conditions will be tacky dirt, so the type of tire is not as important.
-Is there a tire/wheel that will fit the ST at this point, or does modifications need to be made for all applications other than stock, vendetta ST tires?
-I See JConcepts has a 2.2 wheel that measures 1.25" wide, but it is a beadlock wheel designed for the 1/16 revo. So it looks quite heavy with the 3mm screws that have to be installed. Plus it's quite expensive.
-Is there a tire that can be stretched over the stock wheel?
-Does the atomic wheel adapter allow the use of wheels that compare in size to the stock wheel?

Ideally, you stop before you hit the LVC. LVC last resort. Dipping lipos into that low voltage range will weaken them and shorten the cycle life. Seems as you found this out the hard way.

most to all 1/10 scale touring car wheels and tires will fit with the vendetta. As long as it has a 12mm hex you are good. Mini e-revo wheels are not to great on a vendetta.

I know you want to avoid hard LVC where the ESC ceases to function, but I would stop when I started noticing loss in power, IE the power pull on the batteries was causing the voltage to drop to the LVC number, but the resting voltage was still above. I have heard this termed soft LVC, but it seems like there is some ambiguity. The cell voltages are 2.92/3.55 leading me to believe that the power delivery was not balanced very good and one cell was pulling harder than the other. I think if I could get that one cell's voltage back over 3 my charger would balance it and I might save the pack.

I have the aluminum knuckles on my buggy and the pivot balls on my ST and haven't had issues with either. I would say go with the cheaper solution and use the cash you save to buy spares.

Hello, I use to have a vendetta st and now am wondering if I should get another. My main concern is about the screws that hold the tires on use to fall out on High traction surfaces. Is there an upgrade for this? I see the new vendetta has nut that hold the tires on but the st still has the same old screws. Any help would be great. Thanks!!

You can find smaller washers at your local hobby shop or on a hobby website like tower. Stock up, you may find you want more once you use them for the first time. The screws are 2.6mm btw.

Cool thanks I got another couple question one for ya, Do I put the washer inbetween the wheel and hub carrier? Also My track runs an open mini class. Do you think the vendetta st is the most competitive? Thanks again for the help.

It can be a good competitor, but x-ray might have you beat. Not like you see many of those out there because of the price, and unless you have a pro-drive behind any mini-wheel I doubt you'll see much difference in the competition. It'll come down to who's on all 4 wheels the most and who's doing the most cart-wheels.

No washer between the hub and wheel or hub and hex. Only between the wheel and nut.

Oh whoops, I misread your fist post.

If the screws come out, then all you need is a very tiny drop of threadlock to hold the screws in. If the tires come off when the screws are still on, then you need washers. You would put the washer between the screw and the wheel so the wheel doesn't slip off.

Threadlock should be all you need.

screw question = you won't find those screws readily ANYWHERE, other than through a hobby shopthat stocks DTX parts- as they're 2.6mm.

spur gear question = NO! you're better off sticking with the duratrax spur, and then finding an appropriate (metric) pitch pinion to mesh with it

rc_racer123456,

How is that c4 motor holding up? IF I was you I would sell the c4 and buy either an ammo or medusa motor. I believe that the c4 has a can dimension of 20 and a shaft diameter of 2.3. With and ammo or medusa motor you will be able to get a can size of 28 and a shaft diameter of 3.2. Robinson makes a ton of metric 48p pinions that fit the 3.2mm shaft.
