Default M18 speeds?

What are the stock speeds of the M18? (touring car) Also, how fast would it be with [link=http://www.atomicmods.com/Products/Reedy-ASC291-Mini-Modified-17-Turn-Motor__13428.aspx]this[/link] motor?

could you post up a link to that motor? Also, what kind of connector is on the batt. it comes with? I have a tamiya style plug on my charger, and have TRX plugs on my batteries, and I just put an adaptor on the charger to be able to charge my batts. Could I do that with the kind of plugs on the xray?

You could (adapters). The only real big downfall of the trx other than their cost, is they are bigger. As far as a cleaner layout, you might like the Deans ultra plugs.

The motor you linked to would require a new esc. The m18 rtr comes with a esc that only meant for 180 size motors (smaller motor). If your wanting to go with higher speeds right away, you might want to look into getting the kit version of the m18 as so you can choose your own running equipment.

oh he was talking about the kit rtr? i think its a waste of money unless u want to be entry level. you can get a kit model running for even cheaper. speed 300 v6 is only $12 bucks and a novak spy $50 and hitec 81mg $20 ish

Huh? Are you talking about total cost with equipment? Don't forget you are buying better quality equipment by buying it separately. The kit version should be near 95 dollars less.

Your looking at the m18 pro. I meant the standard m18. The m18 rtr is a m18 based vehicle, not a m18 pro.

The M18 kit can be had for the same price if you look around and handles better out of the box without having to purchase tons of upgrades.

Ok thanks. What is the AE stock 370 motor. Will that just drop right into the xray, without having to put in another ESC? what speeds would that throw at me?

You would want to buy the 42 tooth spur for a 370 motor. The kit comes with a 36 which is better suited for lower kvs and smaller motors. Also, the stock motor mount is meant only for 180 size motors. You can fit a 370, with it, but you will have to drill your own holes farther apart on the mount. Otherwise you will need to purchase an aluminum motor mount.
