RE: megapro or rc18
Regarding the Mini-T. Box stock, I think it's terrible, but after upgrading the shocks, bearings, electronics, and motor, it's a great little truck. I also added an RPM bumper, and a chassis brace to provide some protection. It's one of my favorite trucks to play around with, but you have to do a bunch of upgrades in order for it to be any fun...and it's 2 wheel drive, not 4-wheel like the RC18T or the Propulse. You may want to look into the Mini Baja, because this has a lot of the upgrades already done.
Also, about the Propulse/Megapro. I'm pretty sure they're the same truck. Megatech always made it, and Radio Shack was selling it under the Propulse name, but something happened and Radio Shack no longer sells the Propulse.
They do have the Propulse in Stadium truck form, but they're kinda weird looking. For me, that didn't matter so much, but I can see where someone would want a better looking truck.

Hmmm, Like I said, I've seen 4....all like new. Got one they forgot to put an antenna tube in, send them a message about it through ebay, and they sent some right to me asap. Anyone can make a mistake, when you tell them and they take care of it that quick, thats the type people I want to deal with.

they arent exact, but very close. I have MIP superdiffs (for rc18) in my propulse. Along with the MIP cvd's. Must have's if your looking to do crazy speeds with lipo's and brushless.

they seam cheaper made than the rc18t, my bros friends shocks pops out alout, when he was at my house we made a 10 inch jump on the carpet and put the car like a foot in front of the ramp, jumped and the shock came out.

RE: megapro or rc18
dont get a micro.. they arent as fun IMO...
the 1/16 scalers go faster and you can go offroading more..
i have a micro t and yeah they are a blast but you have to have somehting to do with them...
like smeone to race with or do some bashing jumping and stufff...
but IMHO 1/16 are funner and more capable of stufff...
also the stock nimh battery isnt good.. well compare to the lipo it isnt..
so you will definately want to get lipo..
idk just make up your mind and narrow it down to two..

RE: megapro or rc18
dont get the micro trucks, they arent that fun. I have one and the battery doesnt last that long on it.
The reason why the rc18t costs so much is cause it is in demand, people want them and they jack the proce up to 170. Now the price is back down and i think i saw one in my magazine for 155. Thats what i bought mine for 4 years ago. I love my truck. They cost so much for a reason, its name brand and its quality. AE is a very well known good brand and has great parts avalibility. I am thinking about buying another 18b FT kit.

RE: megapro or rc18
why if you get a 1/18 then you can go brushless for just a little more than you can for a micro..
i mean its all up to you.. the micros also seems like they need a lot of upgrades to first go lipo and brushless.. like shims and the bearbox, also wheels wil get shredded, and the shocks,...i mean its all u to you

RE: megapro or rc18
My friend has a highly modded DT with Li-Po and it can't go off-road at all with bouncing all over the place. I would get the RC18 or get the DT and drive it on-road ONLY.
