RE: megapro or rc18
i completely disagree. get the pro pulse off ebay for 50 bux, and have fun with it. i have had both, at the same time, and there is virtually no difference in quality/durability.

except you will want to get some extra digg gears and some vcd's
since its kinda like a knock off im sure it wont hold up as good

IMO go with the RC18T, its a nice platform out of the box for racing, needs a few little upgrades and your ready to go, the propulse is a knockoff of the 18T (tons exist), so i say why not go with the "real deal"

RE: megapro or rc18
If those were the only 2 cars you're considering, I'd go for the propulse, especially if you go for that 50.00 deal on ebay. I have both the RC18T and the propulse (2 of them actually), and head to head, box stock the propulse is actually a bit faster, and seems a bit smoother to run. I'd say they are equally as durable. Plus the Propulse comes with a FM radio, where the RC18T is an AM setup.
The propulse can take most, but not all of the rc18's aftermarket hopups. I've upgraded both (RC18T has Sidewinder/6800KV, and Propulse has Quark33A/Wraith 8000kv) to brushless, and both of there drivetrains can handle it, but I don't really bash them too hard. Just some high speed runs on the street, and jumps from a ramp onto my lawn. 1/18ths have a tough time on real, ungroomed dirt, so I don't really use them there, although you can...they just get really squirrely to drive. I'd imagine they do better on a groomed track, but I don't race.
They're both good trucks, and you won't go wrong with either, but I like the propulse a little better. It's cheaper, a little more unique, and just as durable and upgradeable.

RE: megapro or rc18
I had the mini t a couple years ago and i raced it at the local track. It was a great stadium truck. The only thing that i broke was the rear hubs. If you get one, get a set of aluminum rear hubs. Once it was setup right, it was a great race truck. I never got into bashing so i can't comment on how well it can handle that kind of abuse.
