o rly ?!?! cuz i dont see any single celled Team Orion 1600mah cells out there ...haha

Elite has single cells so racers can hand solder their own packs to have the best current possible ..and use better wires and material ..to build their packs ...

i bought like 25 elite cells and built like 5 packs ...they were great...sold sum on ebay cuz i dint need so much .... now i have 2 6 celled left to use on carpet track ...

and only people new to this hobby might buy 1600 becasue of the mah rating .. you are not even sure if this is a true rating on all of the cells .. but for the Elite 1500 its for reals 1500mah +

yes but I've heard bad things about intellect. I'll just go with the elites since I already have 3 elite packs

Default RE: OFFICAL RC18R THREAD

i think i've decided to wait another two weeks till i get paid again and then i plan to buy two of these bad boys:

1550mah Capacity

11.1 Volts
30mm X 93mm X 20mm
Rated at 31 Amp Constant Discharge
110 grams
Battery Pack comes with Hyperion Taps

Pack comes with Apache/Hyperion taps
Highest performance in the industry
Twice the capacity of NiMH for the same weight
Plug and Play for any charger/balancer/vehicle
We add the connectors and balancing taps for you
Money Back Guarantee
Normally ships within 24-48 hours
Exceeds safety standards of the IATA
Built today with factory fresh cells
Can be recharged unlimited times per day

If you've upgraded to brushless and are looking to replace your 6 cell 2/3A NIMH pack, look no further than our 1550HV 11.1V pack. Fits with no modification required!

Now my question is, where do i buy from? Maxamps.com or is there another site that sells them or even a better / same pack for less or even the same price?

check www.hobbycity.com cheap packs, slightly long shipping time, but price makes up for it, don't forget the 'discharge' calculation: (MAH * "C")/1,000 = max safe amps

Funny thing about that. For over 100 cycles I have been running 1000mah 20C 11.1v in a mamba25 6800 w/ 1:10 nitro foams, 14/60 gearing and my gear gets warm but its plenty of juice because of how rarely I am wot and not for very long and it weighs less and 3oz.

You can get em for $15 right now on clearance at pfm distribution dot com or apogee. look under sale/clearance. I bought 4 a couple months ago... may still be a few.

I would go lipo but I can't find a good and somewhat cheap priced charger. And I don't understand the things like 20c continuous 30c peakburst or really any of that. All I know is volts cells and mah

Default RE: OFFICAL RC18R THREAD

a good cheap charger is $10 total ...

my lil bro has one ... charges/balances 2-3 cell packs .. and charges at max 1.2 amps enough its on hobbycity but out of stock

go lipo you will never regret it .... its cheaper than nimh too and FASTER!! (if you buy off of hobby city )

and about the 20c -30c stuff

if your pack was 1000mah and rated 20 c it means the constant discharge is 20amps because you take the first 2 digits of the MAH and multiply it with the C rating ... then move the decimal place over 1 to the left so 10 X 20 = 200. move over 1 place 20.0 so its 20amps

same with the 30C MAX the burst is only for 10secs ... always choose a pack for your rc18 with more than 25 amps continous anything else is no good ..

my lipos are 45amp constant and 66amp burst

Default RE: OFFICAL RC18R THREAD

wow ... no need to get that OFNA chunky thingy ... or $50

http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-16V-2A-AC-DC-Power-adapter-Power-supply_W0QQitemZ230293794600QQcmdZViewItem?hash=it em230293794600&_trkparms=39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A15|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

that is perfect ...

you need atleast 13V and 12<12.4 and a lipo chargese up to 12.4 ... and 16 volts is enough ..

i have a 12V adaapter and sometimes the charger says "inout voltage error cuz its cannot supply enough volts to charge a 3s lipo or 8 celled which needs at least a 15v adapter ..

i think that plug fits perfectly cuz my charger use that plug and my lil bro charger....

and 2amps is enough cuz you cant charge your lipo over 1.5 amp
