How should we pronounce the abbreviation? I guess it would be pronounced like mir In the mir space station.

WARNING RANDOM TRIVIA FOLLOWS:

mir in Russian can mean peace or world.

That would be perfect for me. Just enough time to get my Mini-T running and by then I have some batteries and a charger or two. What style battery or batteries is it going to use. I'm guessing 2 or 1 stick packs like on the 1/10 E-Revo.

What size cells and how many? I'm not going to consider a truck that uses 12 2/3a cells and runs for 10 minutes. If it could be modded to fit 4 sub C cells on each side saddle style, that would be awesome.

Where though? It cant be down the middle and there are battery scoops on both sides. If there is a single battery down one side it would be imbalanced. I can hardly believe that it uses two 6 cell sub C packs because its supposed to be smaller.

they look like the same truck with different tiers and bumpers. it don't look like mamba size motors will be effective power plants for them. mongoose motors will do but it will up the price to about 500 for a brushless version. for that price you could get a savage xl and really have a monster rc

Traxxas has finally jumped on the bandwagon. The revo and slayer 1/16 trucks look super, I bet they'll be very impressive. And will have aftermarket companies starting immediately to jump on hop ups. For me though, THE TRAXXAS SUMMIT, that truck is the bomb. I just got back into RC after a 10 year break, and man how things have changed, I bought the losi mini crawler as my first new RC, I am a jeep owner and love the offroad, rock crawling, so i picked up the mini crawler. Second I just got my micro T in the mail yesterday, and man is it a blast. Living here in Michigan I wanted to start with a couple i could run indoors, but the last truck I owned was the original stampede. that's how long I've been away. And I loved it, I owned the sledghammer before that. So traxxas is definately my favorite for montster trucks, and I'm glad i read this post and went to the link, and saw the SUMMIT, because I would have ordered an emaxx, or stampede vxl within the next two weeks, But the hell with that, I'm saving for the summit. remote locking diffs, remote shift hi/low range, I can do my crawling, and then flip a switch for some track action. They say it'll do about 25 in high range, which for a truck that size is pretty quick, tires on it are 7" tall, MAN o MAN . Has anyone heard of pricing on that truck yet? or on the little revo and slayer? I'm gonna have to put my jeep on blocks and sell my rims and tires to get that Summit, with it's size and all that it does, I'm guessing 500.00 or more what do you think?

if you look at the pics, on the side of the chassis there is a black looking strip on the side. that is actually a battery compartment, it pops open and a regular Sub C pack fits right in there. at first i thought that might be it, but i went on the traxxas website and look at the brushless E-REVO full scale version it shows that same compartment on the side of the chassis. i believe its water tight aswell

I have an erevo (which the brushless one is obviously based on) and yes it as battery compartments on both sides and no they are not watertight which is just as well because the batteries would have no airflow if they were watertight. I would assume for balance there would be compartments on each side but as to size only time will tell.

Brushless Erevo, Summit and now theses! I am so torn as to which direction to go, which one should I get? I want them all really but I’ll have to do with one. But I think I’m leaning mini revo.

If that thing uses twin 6 cell sub C packs I'm confused. It wouldn't weigh that much less than the 1/10th Revo. A 14.4v 2/3A setup would make sense but it wont have the capacity to run the Velineon for very long. The only other setup I can think of is twin 2/3A 6 cell packs in parallel. I don't like parallel setups.
