Default Micro T versus Xmod?

Are Xmods and the 1/36 micro t comparable? Are they both hobby grade? Besides the radio shack factor...thanks.

Micro-T is definitely hobby grade; as for the x-mod, not so much! X-mods are okay to help you gain an understanding of basically how things work, but I grew out of mine REAL quick. I would definitely go for the Micro-T.

Yup, x-mods are about a half step up from toy grade.... while a micro-t is truly hobby grade. (as hobby grade as a mini-t anyway)
In my mind, there are two things that really make a vehichle "hobby grade"

1. You could build one ONLY with purchased "spare parts".
2. It uses an actualy hobby frequency radio. (even if it is 27mhz)

xmods are good if u buy an Atomicmods customized one. and u can only use them on tile hard wood and concert, paved surfaces. talking from experience having had 2 xmods broken from cheezy servo wires 1 from board getting wet so low to ground 2 from frying fets no reason just poof and 1 i just drove off the stairs to basement. 400$ spent on all of them with parts i could of had a Revo just go with a hobby grade

i had a nice $300 x mod. it had all the atomic stuff and nice motor and such. it was stupid. i have a micro and the micro was ten times more fun at ten times less speed..

Well. i didnt have a use for the x mod so i tried to jump a house with it. mu house is to big to jump unfortunately.. the car went over their 19 foot roof and landed on concrete. i could proly walk out and still find pieces. and it was about a year ago
