You dont have a spare ESC lying around? The ESC size wont really matter if your only testing the motor.

It's not the same. Do you have any hobby stores around with cheap motors? Does the motor spin freely? do you have a multimeter to measure the resistance between any 2 leads?

How did you burn up your Micro Pro already? What battery where you running? I have 2 mamba 25's(old style) I run 3s all the time no problem and was wondering if they are better then the newer Micro pro?

send the motor and the esc back to them and let them check out both? Not like you are going to be running the car anyways.

What RC are you running it in?
What is size pinion and spur gear are you using?
What were you driving it on? snow, dirt or pavement
Are you sure you had the cutoff set right for a 3s lipo?

it was in a RC18MT, 10/60, on pavment and the cutoff was right dont know why that would mess it up. the motor and esc arnt a package so i would cost me 40 something dollars to get the motor fixed if broken and i dont have the money (i just lost my job).

well if the motor was bad then it'd cost ya more to replace. I'd talk to their customer service and see if you can send them both. It shouldnt cost you anything to have it tested, I'm sure they would benefit from having your motor and the esc when they do testing to see why it is burning up (again). Just depends on how good their customer service is and if they are willing to go the extra mile.

I assume your esc has some warranty on it? So they will fix/replace it for free if it is the issue.
Ask them if you can send your motor that you are using with the esc. That way you can send everything at once and find out if it is the motor ruining the esc or if the motor got ruined when the esc went bad (yadda yadda). They dont have to fix it right away, but if the motor is damage then atleast you will know. That way you can go sell plasma for enough money to get it fixed.

Did you try calling them on the phone? Might get better results that way. I always had hard times using email for RC stuff, the phone works alot better (just my experience).

I hear that. I went to canada and called home on my cell phone. Talk about charges... damn international calls.
Also, you could always ask a buddy to use his cell phone if no 800 number. I am sure some of your friends have a nationwide plan (most are these days).

Ah, I have AT&T and it's the most horrible service I have ever had. period.
You hear anything back from them concerning shipping your stuff to be tested?

well that's good. takes the guess work out on your end. Even if you dont have the cash to get it fixed, atleast you can get what needs to be fixed taken care of when you do.

http://www.castlecreations.com/support.html Pretty sure that is says the motor only is $30 to fix. $60 for both the motor and ESC. Look at where it says motor - cm2068 I think is the model you have.
