Default >Project - TEK18X2SE - 2wd - 1:18<

Been a while since i visited the RCU, but i thought i would share my pics from my upcoming project.. Since i have a long way to my local track, i spend some time in my hobbyroom. Not sure if ya seen my other car, my 2wd converted BJ4WE (1:10 - 4wd car)

Since i race the TEK18Xb car i thought it could be fun to test a 2wd car..seen some friends doing some Mini-Slider conversion and they look´s awsome!!..

My car is based on the ace TEK18X car, Motormount and its mounting holes + tranny (slipper and rear) AERC18 rear tranny, arms, hubs and cvd´s. - The front is Losi´s Mini-T in this case, im suing GPMs blu alloy, with Integys brace(conection front/chassi) . A topdeck will be made, as its bigger brother...my goal is to get this one to look as the bigger one.

This is the inventory list, but a smaller update have been done..a lot of parts..and more is ordred

Front end is attached.. (it looks wide, but is same as the TEK18X

Made my own foams, from JACO pinks and RPM rims

Main chassi is rough cut...

To bad i miss a spurgearclamp for the slipper, but will pick up one today..a update will be this weekend

Enjoy!!

What is the wheelbase? I really like the look of an 1/18th 2wd buggy, I have several Mini-T's laying around and may order up a Slider chassis to do a conversion.

haha yeah those hobbywing bl setups are becoming quite popular..
also you should sell these chassis..
they looks great.
you said you custom made the chassis correct?
you shyould sell a kit like thing that come with everything to convert your rc18t to this or mini t to this.. seems very cool.

also i think you should put some jacos on there..but idk if jacos can be put in the front

Thanx Maxxin, i just recived the SpeedPassion bl combo..just like the hobbywing but double the price..but there seems to be some more adjusting and it can handle more Amps..

Well after 6 packs, im not sure i want to "start" selling, but my goal is to have 1 more chassi..thats what i said about this car bigger brother, but not sure on that anymore...but this one, i will produce one more of. at least..

some new paint on the GB-Concepts body..

I would be my guess that neither you, nor anyone else, could afford it.
With all the "time" he has involved in a one-off, and all the custom bits and pieces, you probably don't want to know the bottom line.
Customs are great if you're doing them for yourself, but considering the effort that goes into one it's hard for anyone that's never done one to contemplate their true value.

DettaDude, is right...it wont be free..but it wont be astronomic, IF there is another chassi up for sale...the first one, is kind of a "prototype"...the main goal with this car aint the driving..it was to build it..But it handles good in my opinion, and i might do one or 2.

SO, just wait and see, hopfully i can test it more coming and weekend after it..

It looks like TeamLosi will be crossing the finish line first; followed closely by Associated, as always. I have plenty of TeamLosi decals if you want me to send you a couple. It looks like you are all out. Haha, I'm just kidding.

Conceptually, and comparatively, it's really easy to get your logo printed on a can of motor spray or compressed air for very little initial capital......... while it costs a LOT of money to get tooling, specs, materials, packaging, and enough sales going to produce a chassis kit.
