Anyone use Li-ion in a Micro-T?
I see the stock battery is a 4.8v 150mah battery. I bought a 7.4v 200mah Li-ion battery. I'm going to be using it with the 8750 or 10250 brushless kit. I haven't decided which yet. I know I can expect a lot longer run time, but how about power? I used to use a 250mah lipo and that power/speed seemed like almost double that of stock. Will I be happy with the li-ion and brushless on a dirt track? Which motor should I use with it?

The li-ion was an ebay seller who seems to make them, and the lipo was an E-tec brand. The chassis had to be modified for the lipo.

Never seen that li-ion before. Looks like it could be fun. I don't see why it wouldn't work. The only question I have is about the esc having a low voltage cutoff or not.

6Speed: How is the Li-ion working out for you? I need a couple of batteries and this seems like a good deal. Any issues? Is the performance comparable to the li-pos?
Thanks.
Thanks.

My truck is still in a pile of pieces right now. I ordered everything online for the brushless DT conversion, but I don't have all the parts yet. The brushless system and chassis will be here tomorrow so I'll post back on here Saturday when I rebuild my truck.

You must be very careful with ion batteries. If they dont have cut off circuitry built in they can be VERY dangerous. I'd stick with li-poly batts, which do have the same sort of restrictions but are "somewhat" safter
