Default Insane 370 Motor

Has anyone but a Insane 370 Motor in their Losi Mini-DT? If so how is it? I'm thinking about putting one in mine.

I have many times recommended the e-370 from sportwerks. you can get them at horizon and with that motor and a lipo, you will have a very hard time keeping the front down on carpet. I can hold a wheelie on asphalt for over 70ft! and yes I did measure! this motor is only 15 bucks and it is absolutely awesome! I highly recommend it over the insane. I have had both and the e-370 is far superior. An upgrade even from there is the xlr-8 from sportwerks. I have not tried it yet, but is rated much better than the e-370. I have found the e-370 to be more than enough!

Now I want have to switch to the brushless system or whatever if I get the E-370 right? And it will fit in a Losi Mini Desert Truck right? If so I'm probably about to buy it

it hooks straight in with no problem whatsoever. it is the same mounting and has the same plug, so all you need to do is install it! I just pulled out my dt. and ran it around, I am still very impressed with the motor, you will not be disappointed! Let us know what you think!

i have a mini dt with the 370 motor, im still running the stock battery and it is great but dont forget when you buy it you will need to get the pinion gears for it since the one on the stock motor will not work for teh 370 due to the shaft

Would Sportwerks e-370 fit in Pro Pulse ?

For Pro Pulse is needed a "half moon" shaft. 2mm diameter with 0.5mm cut...

Thanks
Andrej

Alright, I took some quick video in my living room, not very good quality, but it does show the wheelie capability! also, it is nearly impossible to drive on carpet because the front tires never touch the floor, so don't make fun of my driving! I am trying to get it on youtube now, but I am having problems with youtube. Should be here shortly!

I put the Insane 370 Motor in my Mini-DT and it's awesome. Lots of power. I have put some weight in the front end to keep the wheels on the ground.

I have a Dynamite Li-Po Charger. What kind of charger do you have and how long does it take to charge the Li-Po with your charger?

I am also running the losi lipo, every now and then it acts weird, but overall it is great.

I'm using the charger it came with it's pretty much the losi mini monster baja charger and it charges in about 45min to an hour I am going to get a balance charger soon though to make the battery last longer and keep the cells in balance

hi, new member here...

I just ordered the Insane 370 motor from Losi and their recommended Lipo pack + charger.

stumbled on this thread and noticed that some one said something about you needing a new pinion gear when installing the Insane motor because the shaft was slightly bigger, than the original one.....

Is this true, do I need to get a new pinion gear???

Hey RMPROB, I just ordered a pair of the xlr-8's for my Mini LST-2. It's already screamin' fast with the Insanes in it, but I'm looking forward to trying these babies out!
