Having Problems with Mini DT
Hey everyone. I have a Mini Desert Truck and I am having a problem with it.
When I go to turn it on the thing goes WOT. I have the controller on and it is on the same frequency. Also when I press the reverse on the conroller to make it stop it slows down the wheel spinning but it doesn't actually stop it. Also on the controller I have the trim turned all the way down. And it still goes WOT.
Is the receiver going bad on the receiver/esc?
Please let me know if you have any ideas.

RE: Having Problems with Mini DT
wow weird, had similar experience with my excelorin burshless esc right before it smoked itself... if your DT is relatively new I would suggest contacting Losi/Horizon support, they are pretty awesome as far as warranty issues go, if it is older, you may want to replace the ESC/receiver unit. From what I have seen and experienced they are fussy little suckers, especially the excelorin ESC...
on a side note if you are running the stock esc/receiver, and you can't get it replaced PM me I have a brand new one I am going to be selling along with the stock motor... I went brushless, and only ran the old setup 2 times...

RE: Having Problems with Mini DT
here is the procedure off losis website
Resetting the ESC
The ESC comes preset and ready for use. If for some reason you should need to reset the ESC, use the following
instructions:
1. Turn on the transmitter and ESC. Press the setup button – the RED
and GREEN LEDs will come on.
2. Pull the throttle trigger all the way back (full speed) and press the setup
button once – only the GREEN LED will come on.
3. Push the trigger full forward (brake/reverse) and push the setup button
once – only the RED LED will come on.
4. Let the throttle trigger return to the neutral (center) position and press
the setup button once more to save the program and exit setup mode –
only the GREEN LED will be on.
Notes:
A: If the receiver does not receive a signal from the Transmitter, the ESC will not enter program mode.
B: While in program mode, the motor will not run.
C: If the setup button is not pressed for 20 seconds while in program mode, the ESC will exit the program mode, and
the data will be restored to default settings.
