no, that's just how traxxas esc's work. if you go from forward to reverse you get brakes, but if you go from neutral to reverse, you get reverse...

Had a chance to run TP 3S 1350mAh x2 in parallel today. Had to EXPO the transmitter to -100% to tame her!
Your wheelie bar idea sounds like its gonna drag some plastic!
Waiting for a MLST AL wheelie bar. Want to jerry-rig a mount on the back bumper. The bottom plate is too uneven.
In the end I bet Traxxas comes out with a mini version of their E-Revo WB.
