Default Traxxas vs Trinity 1/16 cars!

OK some of you guy's may not be with me on this one but I still have to do something for us the consumers, Traxxas came out with a new product (1/16 Revo and Slash) both awesome truck ((( BUT ))) I have to say they are pricey very pricey almost $300 bucks for a 1/16 scale truck? everything on these couple of rc's is reduce at an lesser scale than the actual 1/8 and 1/10 scale Revo and Slash ( so that means you cannot compare it with the actual 1/8 and 1/10 scale brothers, way to different on all aspect). Some Traxxas vehicle with the VXL system cost about the same as the 1/16 scale VXL. OK my problem is? I don't want to pay that much for a 1/16 scale toy truck, Traxxas still is one of my favorite brand. But I have to say that Trinity have a way better option on 1/16 scale machine than the new 1/16 scale Traxxas, and it cost way less then the before mentioned, so what you guy's think of this?

Which one will your LHS carry the parts for? And if the Traxxas Mini's are anything like their big brothers then there will be a ton of aftermarket parts for them. All of the LHS where I live don't carry parts for the Trinity cars but they all carry Traxxas parts. So for me spending alittle more on a Traxxas Mini is better then searching for parts for the Trinity Mini. Plus you pay for what you get with Traxxas you get a proven product with Trinity you never know what you will get. Just my .02..........................

That's fast enough for my kid and if I want to go faster I'll just switch motors to an 380 brushless is cheaper than buying a 3S Lipo battery.

I chose Trinity, because my lhs has parts for them & it includes a charger along with a 11.1 volt Lipo.
Only thing I don't like about Trinity's car is the body

Don't you have any LHS near you? It is much nicer to walk into the LHS and get your parts instead of waiting 2-3 days hoping they don't get lost in the mail.

I have a Trinity NOW and an E REVO VXL and the REVO is head and shoulders above the NOW .

The NOW needs a lot of upgrades too be reliable the REVO needs nothing but better batteries .

The NOW does corner better but the REVO has a better drive train , I had too spend another 220 on the NOW too get it the way I wanted .

Either way my LHS carry's Trinity as well my comment is for those who LHS don't carry Trinity products, I have ordered many many parts from both Mail stores and never had a problem with them.

sorry but is to good to be truth Trinity have Traxxas on this one and many of us like these kined of deals.

Are your sure of this? better drive train? the drive train on the NOW is all metal and the 1/16 Revo is all plastic, if it true maybe is cause of the torque and power that 1/16 NOW carrys on. With just a 6 cell pack wont do as much stress on the tranny on the all plastic 1/16 Revo.

do you have any video you want to share with us comparing side by side action video? thanks in advance.

I have never had a good experience with Trinity. Every one of their cars I've owned always seemed to require a ton of hop-ups to make them competitivelyviable, so I cose the Traxxas Revo. That being said, I agree that the NOW is fast, but so are the Traxxas cars. IMHO they are all being made to be nothing more than dragsters, and that does nothing for me. I am interested in off-road racing, so all the hype about 3S and 4S batteries holds no interest for me, but I do admit these things can be absolutely ballistic if you're simply interested in drag racing or speed runs.

I voted for the Traxxas because it's not that much more of an expense.I havetheSlash 1/16th.I was attractedto it because it resembles a real SC Truck quite closely. After recieving my mini Slash I can say that it does seem quite durable.I do like those wheels on the Trin though. I wonder if they will fit :]

I voted Mini Revo. I have heard many bad things about the differentials in the NOW from a friend's experience. Personally I would go with Mini Revo(should have it sometime this week)

I have seen that Mini e-revo at the nearby LHS, that guy drove it around the parking lot to show me.  I have seen nothng in 1/16 or 1/18 that could compare to that ever.
