i was just wondering what the best 3 cell battery and the best 2 cell battery would be that can fit in the mini revo battery compartments.
what sizes can you get away with for batteries?

Couple of guys on the Traxxas forum told me the new Hyperion G3 VX or CX is the best currently. I spoke with a couple of airplane guys at a LHS too saying the same thing. They said this new Hyperion lipo VX has a 35C constant discharge (CX is 25C) and allows 5C charging rate, plus the price is reasonable.

One of the guy told me the G3 VX 1800mah will fit in to his 1/16 erevo, but I wasn't able to find anyone has it in stock online. So I just ordered the VX 1600mah instead. Should be arriving in the next 2 days or so.

The SMC LiPo's are awesome for the 1/16th Revo and Slash. The 2S is 2200mAh/28C and the 3S is 1400mAh/28C. Both packs readily fit into my 1/16th Revo.

if i run only one battery pack how much would that screw up the handeling and jumping of the car because there is only weight off to one side.

I am running two 2s 1500mah lipos from commonsenserc and they are a direct fit with room to spare.

I agree with you klaze, (for once). After watching this whole traxxas 1/16 launch thing, I started to wonder if they were real owners making sincere comments or just vendor disguises as poster trying to promote or to hyped up their product or whatever they have in their warehouse. Similiar to financial boards in the stock market.

like on the traxxas board, you can see one guy asking a dump question, then another guy recommend an ugly looking not so good product follow by a bunch of other guys saying "looking great, I have it too" without a picture. I start to wonder if they were just the same person with different IDs.

in that case, traxxas4ever you definitely don't want an uneven of 138g of weight on your precious m e-revo. It hurts the shocks, putting extra load on 1 side of the CVD, and potentially uneven wear & tear on one side of your tires. Not to mentioned reduce performance and affects showing off your excellent RC driving skill in front of your friends. Why just buy 2 ?! Buy 4 Of this zippy and strips the extra 2 down at the front & back of your mini e-revo so the weight is evenly distributed on the entire vehicle & maintain well weight balance like a BMW!

YEs ^^ I got the 3s and wow.. it's quite a good battery.. very happy with mine.. got it for $50 on fleabay.

The truck is actually more balanced with just one pack, as long as you put it on the side recommend in the manual. But in all honesty, the difference is balance one pack is going to make isn't that critical. Look at race truggies, they all have their fuel tanks on one side of the truck, you know the weight balance is going to change, net no one mentions that as a concern...

Best battery for the price is EP1500mah Nimh or the ACE1800 2S lipo. Both are sold here: [link=http://www.hipowerrc.com]hipowerrc.com[/link] Either one fits perfect and they come with genuine TRX connector pre-installed. No need to deal with Hobby King for product that may not fit. Best is they ship from USA by a USA company.
