Depending on where you run will determine how to set the slipper. On pavement from a dead stop, the general rule of thumb is to let it slip for the first 2-3 feet roughly. Anymore than that, and you may prematurely wear the slipper pads or melt the stock gear. Any less = drivetrain stress. In the dirt, that may need adjustment, but that's a good starting point.
