Default Strange Mini DT Problem

This week after owning my mini DT for 8 months my servo blew out. Today I purchased a new one LHS, and installed it myself. It works fine and the steering is great. However, now whenever I turn on both the truck and the Receiver, the motor goes to full power automaticly. Like, no matter what I do, the wheels and the motor are stuck on full throttle.
Any input besides steering and that I make on the TX is ignored. It doesn't matter where the throttle is, it is stuck on full. When I try to reset the ESC, the motor stops for a seconds, then returns to full throttle. Any idea why this is happening and how to fix it? I don't understand how a servo replacement can do this to my truck. Please help.

Is it stock other then the servo? Do you need to reprogram the throttle curve on the TX after resetting?

Stock everything. Even the new servo is the same as the old one. The transmitter settings are good.

Yep. Same thing if the servo is unplugged. I am going to try new transmitter batteries. Think it might fix it?

Yeah, give it a try. Have seen radios do weird things with low batteries..
It is probably just a coincidence that it happened at the same time as putting in the new servo..

Think I need a new ESC. Could it be because the antenna on the ESC was pulled a little bit? I don't think I pulled it, but it might have occurred. No visible damage though.

it shouldn't be the antenna if you steering still responds to input.

does the throttle respond to any input, like if you give it more gas it will increase speed or can you get the wheels to go into reverse.

try re-reading the manual to see if you reprogrammed it right. also i'm not sure what radio you have but are you sure you didn't touch the trim settings?

if you still can't get it to work than i would either call losi and see what they have to say or take it down to your lhs and see if the can test it in something else. how did you old servo die? maybe it wasn't the servo but the esc/receiver.

Ok. I just tested all of that. When I pull the throttle, I can hear it speed up. When I go in full reverse I an hear it slow slightly. I am positive my trim settings are correct, and I have the stock RTR radio. I just plugged in the old servo, and it is still dead. I do not know how how it broke, it just twitched for about half the back, then died full out. Think I need a new ESC or is it something else? One more thing, when I set the ESC to program, the wheels just keep spinning, but the light changes.

before you go and get a new one, call losi and see if they can help you. to me it just sounds like it needs to be reprogrammed. hey, maybe if you play your cards right you can get a new one for free.

I made a video trying to show what is wrong. Here it is. As you can see, when I hit program, the lights show, I can complete the program mode, but then then once I am done programming it just goes back to normal, motor always on.

Not easy to tell, but I almost suspect a loose wire or connection. Humor me and check ALL wire connections (plugs, wire into plugs, look for bare wires that can short, etc.).

The connections directly on to the motor don't look so good.
Should I add some solder to sure them up?

Resoldering the motor should have no effect. The problem is power is going to the motor all the time. If you've reprogrammed the speed control correctly and it is still acting this way, then the ESC is damaged and needs to be replaced (it is allowing current to go through when it isn't supposed to).

Think that if I call losi they will have any chance of replacing the ESC for free? How did this have to do with the servo, like how do ESC's become damaged?

Just got a brand new ESC. Same problem. What's up? 70 bucks in, still doesn't work.
