i'm looking at getting one of these and would like some input from people that have them.
have you had any breakage? and what was it.
what will i need to keep an eye on. like loose screws ect.
i plan on running the c/c 4600 sport setup with 6 cell packs only. no lipo for me.
any info would be great thanks.

I just picked on up on e-bay.. Just ran it twice... And so far so good. Wish there were more aftermarket parts for it.. but I guess it's still new right..
Here is an image of the Hyper Mini STe next to the Mini E-Revo.

As you can see the Mini Hyper STe is a little bigger then the Mini E-Revo..
But you can put 1/10th electronics one her with out any mods..
And it comes with a center diff not a locked center diff like the Mini E-Revo.
I ran it enough to tell you how durable it is but it looks and feel very well made.. the Hyper mini STe.
I'm planning on putting my Traxxas stampede tires on her.. I already got the VXL motor on...
The problem i'm having right now is when I put the body on there is no room for the VXL ESC...

I'm just using what it came with I think it was a 41T Spur and 10T Pinion.
I've been reading it's great for racing and very durable.
and you can smoke the mini e-revo... lol well it does have a bigger motor...
I guess it just depends on what motor you put in it...

i'm putting castle creations 4600kv sport system in it.
i guess i'll have to get a few pinions and see what works best.
i don't want top speed just good speed and no overheating.

yes. i bought the mini ste and the c/c 4600kv sport system.
brand new for $245 shipped.
it will be here tomorrow.
i figured it was cheaper than converting my .5 which is just too much fun with the os18tz on it
plus i now will have 2 complete running mini's..

makakoa808 i've seen people put the speed control right behind the motor on the chassis.

mine came with a 14tooth pinion so i'm using that and it seems fine for the 4600kv system i have.
took it out on the track yesterday and did a durability test . hit a buried rock the size of the tire at full speed. flipped about 3ft in the air and ripped the rock out of the ground.
all it did was bend the aluminum cross plate that the lower arms go into. only bent it a little bit. so guess it's gonna be pretty durable .

body is pretty much done but i have to back it yet.
and a pic of the damage from the rock.
the stock body clips are a joke.way too small.
the stock tires are ok but the foams are useless. maybe 5 runs on them and the foams are real loose and soft.

I got the VXL ESC to fit fine had to push the wires down a little more then I wanted but thats about it, maybe look at diffrent body options.. The body that it came with looks like it's not the stock body maybe its an illusion body..

And oh my gosh I was really happy with the power and speed of my VXL Stampede... was a beast.. but it was only two wheel drive and was not to happy how it handle off road..

Well now I got the VXL Motor and electronics in my Hyper Mini STe, my gosh this thing is a Monster... Wheelie poping speed beast.. I love it.. will need to do a video soon. Also will probably need to change the gearing to adjust for heat...

Oh almost forgot I put the Stampede wheels and tires on her.. will post a pic soon.

hey if anyone is interested i am selling my proto type set of 17mm adapters and 1/8th buggy wheels and tires for the ste , i had them made by fast lane machine , heres a few pics
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...own/001-14.jpg
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...own/002-12.jpg
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...town/004-5.jpg
http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j3...own/001-10.jpg

you need to ada few shims or washers between the axle and adapter when installed but beside's that they work great , improve top speed a little bit and you can run over almost anything with them installed. I am selling both for $60 shipped in the u.s. if interested. just shoot me an email at [email protected] Thanks also have A+ feedback on multiple forums if needed.

the crt.5 and mini hyper ste don't need the adapters. all you need are 2.2 wheels and tires of your choice. stock slash and stampede wheels and tires bolt right on also.

and yes selling in threads is against the rules. just letting you know because i've gotten warned by the mods for it also.

well im not selling in this thread just letting everyone know its there fs in the fs adds if they would like and i have tried the bigger 1/10th scale tires 2.2.'s, the 1/8th are wayy better in everyway . way more tire choices for the crt.5 and ste then the 2.2's . The ground clearence alone makes it way better same as 2.2's . This is pretty much better for all around racing compared to slash and stampede wheels that would be used more for bashing.
